my wifi unit now got random reboot after sideloading kitkat... last time with 4.3 I don't remember having any reboot at all... sad.gif

reflash factory image. solved my random reboots when i first bought the device, on 4.3

not sure. coz the setting is missing eventho we updated the app. they wont make two apps for different devices right?

I did. Tried to side load it thru my Mac this afternoon. End up using Windows platform. Much more easier. The feeling is great!

OS 4.3 by default had built in messaging function. So any SMS app can work. We are talking about kitkat 4.4 where it is now disabled.

anyone know that if i need to unroot first before updating to kitkat via OTA when it come out later?

currently nexus 7 LTE running stock rom and stock kernel but have root and unlocked
prefer not to lose any data...got lot of games smile.gif

flash the OTA zip file in your custom recovery. and you might have to reflash supersu, might not.

if you don't want to wait (like me tongue.gif)

download the factory img and flash the system img ONLY, via fastboot. if your bootloader and radio are still not the kitkat ones, flash them too. and then flash supersu again in recovery.

both methods won't disturb your data.

mine using normal recovery , so will it affect root ? planning to keep root after OTA update
