i'm an engineer myself and the problem with consultant firm is the bosses knows that these fresh grads are out to learn from them. therefore, they will squeeze your pay and make the full use out of you. sad but true.

as for myself, i'm already in my third year in a consultant firm and my salary sitll doesn't go pass 2.5K. sad...

yeah lo, my 1st day of training also same... they just said "god bless you" haha... then i thought just blessing... but who knows it was a begin of nightmare... 3 months, never eat, sleep, play, properly one.. i m going to grad soon... now looking for jobs, either sales or consultant...    <----- advices needed...  icon_question.gif
*
my advice is, since you're still young, why not go for a try in a consultant firm. that would beef u up with some experience and if you don't like it, you have nothing to lose, just leave and find another...

you are right, dual_shock.... haha, if the building collapsed, u will be jailed...wash ur back side, and sit inside like a bird in a cage for years.... or pay money until you bankrupt... pity also... engineer nowaadys not like last time anymore..
*
ya ya, but i do have to say that last time, engineers can be very powerful but now, they just have to work to the demand and leisure of the clients. sighh

*
yaya very true...sometimes i see them come to site, a while want drink, a while want cigarettes, awhile this, awhile that...really see them also sienz...

do you all agree that construction is the most "black" line of all?

my advise it.. go for your dreams.. dont get "stuck" like us! just read the tucker max's speech http://messageboard.tuckermax.com/showthre...95&page=3&pp=10

i know! its for lawyers.. and lawyers rot in hell.. but its about living your dream. When I am a student, I thought when I work, I'm gonna buy this buy that.. but guess what?! i'm f***ing poorer than being in student time. hehe.

Btw.. jobs as consultick oopps, i mean consultants require constant dealing with authorities too... just as much as achitect do. and I REALLY is a pain in the ass EVERYTIME to meet them, unless they're the pretty clerk there.. IT SUCKS!
*
wow, you just spell out everything that's in my heart...let everyone knows how poor we are... cry.gif
