QUOTE(edison1437 @ Jan 19 2015, 09:51 AM) aromachong as long as they dont charge me gov tax i dont mind keeping the card..... but the self redeem part is very mafan.... coz right now i have a better cash back card It's a requirement for bank to charge the GST as it's required by LHDN, it's also up to those bank whether to offer rebate or so-called loyalty cashback of RM50 to recover the RM50 we paid for the GST. Should the Customer Service reluctant to offer credit of RM50, just tell them that you want to cancel the card (provided you don't to take the risk of card being cancelled), usually they will inform you that another officer from Credit Card Retention Unit will give a callback to process the cancellation. Do make it clear to the Retention Unit agent that you're cancelling the card due to GST and most of the time, they will offer RM50 credit to your card account in order to retain customer.

QUOTE(kuai_chai @ Jan 20 2015, 01:24 PM) my citibank cashback card was cancelled as they do not want to offer me rm50 gst rebate. so the end of citibank for me. haha.. You're not alone, same goes to me as well. Cancelled my CashBack Platinum & Visa Clear due to no loyalty rebate given to offset the GST of RM50 per card. The end of Citibank meets the beginning of Maybank Premier card for me.

QUOTE(aromachong @ Jan 21 2015, 07:09 AM) scb credit cards cant use to perform prepaid reload via online? As for as I know, we couldn't purchase prepaid reload by using credit cards due to merchant fee being impose. So SCB credit cards are not alone here as most banks' credit cards can't perform prepaid reload online, however, most bank do offer direct purchase through CASA account by their online platform.

QUOTE(kuai_chai @ Jan 21 2015, 11:26 AM) Just saw your post after I clicked the reply button by saying most credit cards couldn't purchase prepaid online due to merchant fee. Something new to me, looks great by a glance through their main page. Will there be any unstated hidden charges or additional fee that we need to be aware of?

QUOTE(kuai_chai @ Jan 21 2015, 11:41 AM) i dunno.. never tried it.. there shouldn't be any charges imo.. anyone try it? haha.. Found out the following statement at the bottom of the page >>> *Please note there is additional charges apply for using paypal and admin fee on top of actual reload amount purchase on this site. We are using USD currency in all our product on this site. I assume that the company earn the differences of the foreign currencies exchange rate from USD to MYR as well as the admin fee, whereby there is no transparency of how much is the chargeable admin fee and USD to MYR conversion is at 5 year all time HIGH. Conclusion: Avoid this at all cost unless you're in a desperate urgency to top-up or you don't mind to pay the additional charges.
