Hi All,
I would like to ask regarding the SCB cash back gold card. let say i would like to qualify the 5% rebate, it has minimum spending 1500, and 1000 excluding Petrol and insurance. DOes it means if I only spend 1000 for non petrol and insurance, I still able to enjoy the 5% rebate? or I still need to spend until 1.5K? and for non Petrol and insurance spending must exceed 1K? QUOTE(kelvinlzy @ Apr 21 2016, 10:41 AM) I believe you can get the complimentary Smart Tag + RM50 T&G card and the luggage if you apply through RP. The only thing is that you won't get RM50 cashback from SCB as you did not apply through their website. oh snap, i just applied thru their website, can I reject the application and apply again thru ringgitplus? |

scb really took fast response, reject my application within 10 min after I applied thru Internet.
This is because I havent pay full outstanding balance of my ptptn, and I just made the full outstanding payment yesterday, wanted to test whether they will still accept my application even if my ccris report indicate i have owe ptptn. This prove that CCRIS will only updated on monthly basis and u will never get approved for credit card application if u owe ptptn money. |

QUOTE(babienn @ Apr 22 2016, 03:56 PM) Wow I didn't know PTPTN is such serious already. May I know how long had you stopped paying PTPTN prior to your this latest payment? from what i observed, your ptptn payment record will definitely added into ccris if u owe ptptn for approximately 24 months give or take few months.all my friend who also graduated at the same time, blacklisted by ccris almost at the same period and time frame. |

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Apr 22 2016, 04:47 PM) hmm.. dude. dun simply say leh haha, i was just saying what i observe, if u encounter diff case, that is ur caseptptn will record your loan regardless if you pay or not pay on time. they will record it just they same as any loan n give u a 0 if u pay n a 1,2,3,n depend on the number u lapse. As long as its 0 its fine. But it does drag your DSR down i went to to bnm check my ccris last 2 weeks, there were no record until last 3 months, sudden appear 3 months with "24". "25" "26" I did lack of knowledge regarding this, but i got did my homework, if u think i was just simply say, u can just ignore me without reply me haha This post has been edited by HenryJay: Apr 23 2016, 12:51 AM |

QUOTE(aromachong @ Apr 22 2016, 07:16 PM) u can check the update on every of 11th month i know this, but i was thinking like this because i had 9 credit cards (now remain 6 cc), i have clean '0' in ccris report in past 12 months with utilize almost all the credit limit, plus 1 hire purchase record(also perfect record)bank will think in this way.. if u cannot afford to pay back PTPTN.. whats make them think that you will pay back money own to the banks in future? So, i thought bank "might" consider I will still make full repayment every month for credit card even thought i owe ptptn money, as a result, that was just my "thinking" only. Anyway, i already made full outstanding payment. waiting ccris report updated, then proceed to apply more credit card. *I didt pay ptptn simply i was naive i tot i can just ignore this same as what my seniors did. this is wrong and i will not do this mistake again, haha This post has been edited by HenryJay: Apr 23 2016, 12:53 AM |

QUOTE(fly126 @ Apr 27 2016, 04:30 PM) I don't so it can be done for THIS Card, I mean call-in Request for AF waiver... i also agree with u, i think for those card explicitly mentioned how u can enjoy free AF waiver cannot/very hard be waived, but seems like both scenario not applied to SCB according to some ppl's comment. (is it applied to SC Air miles card?)Most of the SCB card we can EZly to get Waiver becos these Cards don't got any PPL Entry & Airmile Conversation privileges, & just a Basic Cards with a little benefit only, We can also get waiver even with 0 spending a year... !!! As, The annual Membership fee (RM636) will be waived if you have spent at least RM100,000 per annum on the WorldMiles Card in the past 12 months. (can said that, Actually we paid $$$ to enjoy the benefits) https://www.sc.com/my/edm/scb9917-worldmiles-cardmember/ I spent over 30K in my most basic UOB classic card but the bank officer still dont want to waive for me... QUOTE(donhue @ May 30 2016, 10:05 AM) Question to those that have been using the Cash Back Gold Mastercard.. you most probably got confused by the ringgitplus, the cash back will not calculated by all the amount you spent x the max tierLooking at the cashback % table, there's a max rebate cap.. E.g. if you spend 500, cashback is 2% and cap is RM 10. therefore, even if i spend 799, my cashback is still capped at RM 10, right? so, a strategy to maximize cashback would be to always push it to the next tier if it's already close to it? e.g. swipe RM 1 online transaction to get into the 3% tier, instead of using UOB VOX/PBB VS for their 6%? the calculation will 1st deduct the previous tier's amount then times the percentage update :sorry, i mixed up this with alliance younique this card you were right about it, you need to spend till 800 to enjoy the new tier, but you should spend until 833 to enjoy full rm25 rebate, if you spend only 800, the rebate only rm24, haha This post has been edited by HenryJay: May 30 2016, 10:58 AM |
