I mean since the insurance payment is not getting much rebate, if switch to the gold card, can help to achieve the 1500 spending, at least overall will get 3.33%
*
That's WRONG !!!
Assume you pay Insurance RM1000 per month and the rest RM500 other spendings.
The Rebate you get is RM500 x 5% = RM25 only !!! That's only 1.67%

QUOTE(nothingz @ Jun 5 2014, 10:41 AM)
nobody asks you to transfer 1k since it only asks for 500 unless you are unable to split it. Like what you mentioned in the above scenario, the 500 will only get RM10 cash rebate due to the other retail spend is only RM 500
*
So you should have made it clearer and not "assume" we know what you are thinking.

nothingz idea :
Transfer RM500 of Insurance/Petrol and RM1000 on other retail spends would get you 3.33% nett cash back

Which is better, Standchart 10% CB ( first-come-first-serve ) or MBB2Amex 7% (guranteed)?
For me I prefer using Amex.

A smart person would go for guaranteed 7% on the weekend on any spend amount.

Finally got a chance to cancel my last SCB CC card... since I was charged AF and 6% GST. After call in to cancel, the AF & GST was waived. Still waiting for call back from Retention Dept.

Let's see what "free" money they give nowadays.
