For the Cashback Gold MasterCard, minimum retail spending for cashback = RM1500; to maximize cashback, minimum spending exclude petrol and insurance = RM1000..Means to get the RM50 cashback you need to spend the remaining RM500 which will earn you 0% cashback? What a joke shakehead.gif

if you have insurance to pay every month and not getting attractive rebates, this cash back gold MasterCard is actually quite good. Petrol wise, you may go for other cards

Exclude insurance mean insurance payment is not included.
*
I mean since the insurance payment is not getting much rebate, if switch to the gold card, can help to achieve the 1500 spending, at least overall will get 3.33%

That's WRONG !!!
Assume you pay Insurance RM1000 per month and the rest RM500 other spendings.
The Rebate you get is RM500 x 5% = RM25 only !!! That's only 1.67%
*
nobody asks you to transfer 1k since it only asks for 500 unless you are unable to split it. Like what you mentioned in the above scenario, the 500 will only get RM10 cash rebate due to the other retail spend is only RM 500

So this card got cap on cashback?

Or spend 2500= 10 + 25 + 50 = 85 cashback?
*
the cap is RM50 per month, did not read whether it is statement or calendar month

So you should have made it clearer and not "assume" we know what you are thinking.

nothingz idea :
Transfer RM500 of Insurance/Petrol and RM1000 on other retail spends would get you 3.33% nett cash back
*
this is already clearly stated at the SCB website except for the 3.33% which they did not tell directly

I tried to waive the fee just now over the phone, but it was unsuccessful.

when you tell them you want to cancel the card, they will waive for you.

i just cancelled my cards, they offered to waive all annual fees debited to my accounts to keep me with them but i insisted on cancelling the cards

Anyone know what is the password format to view the e-statement?
*
eStatement Password
If you have previously changed your eStatement Password, please key in the new password. Otherwise, please use your Default Password which is in the "AB" format where,

A = The first character of your name used during account opening
B = The last six digit of your IC/Passport

For example:

Customer name used at Account Opening: Koh Beng Sen
IC number: 780729-14-5215

A = K
B = 145215

Mr. Koh's Default Password is K145215
