i think it's because no cashback for petrol and insurance?
but besides that, it also loses to HLB Wise Card (if someone can spend 50x10 times a month)
*
Correction : if someone can spend in the selected category 50 x 10 to get maximum CB.

And as I mentioned, applying via their online portal gets you 150 cash back laugh.gif

SC seems to be decent for now, if they can keep this up, no reason not to use this card.

Why u thought annual fee cannot be waived? So far only few banks are strict in waiving annual fee (maybank, cimb, public bank).

Recently, cimb and public bank also can waive for annual fee.

How does the sc cash back card works... I read that it is tier base 2%, 3% then 5%... so if i spent 1500, first 800 cash back @ 2%, then 801~1500 cash back @3% and finally 1500 and above cash back @ 5%? Is my understanding correct?

this card good for u to buy non-essential item, for example : buy 1 luxury bag cost u RM1500, u confirm get RM50 cash back. But if u spent RM1500 in any other card with 0.2 / 0.3% cashback which only give u RM3 / RM4.50 cash back.

Spend RM1500 , get RM 50 cash back. Equal to 3.33%. I feel it is very good card. Never noticed it until recently. (Very seldom ppl mentioned it) I applied the cc also. Now awaiting for the card.

I spend RM5000 each month on alliance bank cc. Cash back 1.36% only. So I do assume this is good card!

hmm.gif If you spent RM5000, you only get a max of RM50 which is equivalent to 1% cash back only.
Btw, I don't think you can get 3.33%, it is 3%. 50/1500 and this is the maximum, if you spent more, the cash back will be less

ringgitplus is giving RM300 petrol voucher if able to spend RM100 within 60 days.

applied thru this channel, and the tele-sales person updated me that there is additional freebies for me ---- a santa babara 24" luggage -----  if I able to spend RM500 (accumulative) within 3 months in conjunction with another marketing promotion for new customer.

please note that for the RM300 petrol voucher, ringgit plus will only send out when scb provide them the list of successful customer who spend RM100 within 60days, that takes 4 months according to her.

you can just submit your info in RP, or PM me for her contact.

i am keen to apply also.

I checked SCB website, no mention about online application can get Cash back RM150.
Where did you guys read about that?

And the Santa barbara luggage bag, which channel to apply to get that?

I plan to use it to pay TNB and Telekom bills online, are these included for the cash back 3%?

Spend RM1500, get RM50 which is 3.33%. This is my own calculation. I just applied the card, haven't get the card. So I don't actually know whether any catch in between. But, my points is I will delegate RM1500 to spend on this card. Another RM985 on HL wise card. Etc etc on other cards such as PBB VS, alliance platinum card etc to get maximum possible cash back.
