BTW.

I emailed GSC yesterday and got the reply this morning.

Please be informed for the promotion, the system will auto-deduct one ticket price. You will need to key in your credit card details 1st and in the next page you will see the deduction (others Terms & Conditions applied).

Please feel free to contact us at 03-7806 8888 (Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays from 9am to 6pm) if you need further information.

It's ok. I was just asking in advance as I haven't receive my Mastercard yet. Thanks Mr Gray for confirming the payment.

Anyway matters solved, will try it once i gotten my card. Would much prefer the payment be deducted up front rather than need to wait 30 working days for it to rebate it back which is famous for SC card (Petrol 15% rebate and the free money before that).

what a surprise. I did call in to cancel my long used Stand chart credit card 3 weeks ago. Until now i dont receive any call for asking me to retain card. Now i check online... i dont see the card appear anymore...

i just cancel 3 standchart cc last month. i just receive the sms the 3 cc is terminated without any call from cs. wait for another half year and see any welcome gift for new credit card user.

i think it depends on the cs or on us (customers). my wife faced no problem/question from the cs cancelling her standard chartered card. but i were unable to cancel my card for 5 times. the last time i tried to cancel, they offered me rm50 to offset my gst and rm11k for 0% balance transfer for 6 months. so until now i still keeping and using the card.

Managed to grab the buy-1-free-1 GSC promo. Made 2 separate transactions for 2 free tickets. Discount reflected after entering card details and click next page.

Good reason to keep the card until end of 2013 at least biggrin.gif

got a call from SC bank yesterday
REMINDING me that my platinum business card has no more cash rebate 0.5% offer 6 MONTHS ago!!!
i look back at my statements , YES it has nolonger pay me 0.5% eversince god knows when...
I say y bother REMIND after this long, they say they want to offer me other bank card!!
WHAT A BANK FULL OF SHIT AND LIES...... NEVER TOUCH BANK CARD FROM THIS BANK ANYMORE!! That's me!!
BTW WHOEVER TRY TO ENGAGE THIS BANK MIND YOU, YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO REACH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NEVER BE ABLE TO CUT YOUR CC IN THE FUTURE.

actually they stopped the 0.5% cash back and points system together around 1 year ago. but then they resumed the point system but maintain abolishing the cash back.

for my case, after keeping the card for nearly a year (a few months before my next gst charge), i tried to terminate the card with the reason that the card has no longer benefits me since the removal of the cash back. they counter offered me a 0% balance transfer of rm11k for 6 months and rm50 to offset the gst to keep me as their customer. so i took the offer and remain as a customer for another year. however, my wife did the same thing to terminate her card and the cs just terminated for her immediately without any questions or counter offer to ask her to maintain her card.

so i think it depends on the cs (whether they feel like counter offer you) or on us (whether we are heavy user of the card) in order for them to offer us with something.

anyway, i really dislike them removing the main features of the card making our business platinum become a total useless card. mad.gif

For those who have doubts on how the GSC buy-1-free-1 works, it will auto deduct after key in the CC details (as mentioned in the previous page)

At least 1 reason for me to keep the card, for now~ tongue.gif
