I bought a customised pc from Thundermatch. It started of with my Graphic card blacking out whenever i play games. Sometimes only 5 minutes after turning on the game the screen just blacks out. This was a couple of days after i bought the PC. I brought it back to them hoping for a one-on-one exchange as its under one week but they said it's only a software problem and updated the drivers. A few days later the same thing happened and i brought it back there. Again they only updated the software and said everything is okay now. Same problem happens and only then they said they will send back the graphic card after i insisted on them sending the card for repairs. They said this is the first time they have a problem with a graphic card that they have to send it back. No one to one exchange because it's already over a week shakehead.gif
At first they said "oh only 2-3 weeks to repair". I called them and they said oh no reply from supplier. After over a month the card is with them i called again insisting that they check with the supplier when i can get my card back. What really pissed me off is that the guy said it's off their hands and they can't do anything. Even got angry with me when I asked them to simply inquire the supplier about the card. He said that because of CNY its taking longer but come on. CNY was only a few days, I've already sent it for over a month. Only a few weeks after that they told me that the card is ready.
Now when I went back to the shop, the only thing they gave was the graphic card in a plastic bag. I sent everything including the box and CDs but they said the supplier only gave that back. I asked for a receipt cause the card had a different serial number (card was replaced with a "new" one) and the shop assistant (the one who raised the voice in the call) said its in the system. They can't print a new one out. Just use the old receipt for another claim. The problem is I already bought a new card cause they were taking too long and hoping to sell the old card but now there is no box and a receipt with a different serial number on it. Also on the card it says that the card's warranty starts from 9/13 when i bought my system around 12/13. The card's serial number was also backdated from A132--- to A125------. It seems to be replaced by an older card.
So tell me? Is this fair to the customer?
