Hi all,

I am currently using Radeon 7850. And I am planning to get the R9 290 in the near future.

I read that the noise level is a concern. I had experience regarding to this back when using Radeon 4870 to a point that I had to change the reference cooler to Arctic Cooling.

Since the 290 in the market now(AFAIK) are all using reference cooler, is it safe to assume that the arrival of other models with their own coolers will effectively solve this problem?

I'm sorry if this has been answered before. I just started reading about it today.

A question here. Does it make sense to go for R9 290 when the max I will go is 1080p at max settings?

I mean my 7850 is still capable of high settings at 1080p in BF4 and Ghosts. But would love to see all the eye candy. Don't think I will go more than 1080p in the near future.

What card would you suggest for this? I know that the R9 290 is for UHD resolutions so I am thinking it might be an overkill.

If I buy the Never Settle Code from ebay, will I run into problems when redeeming games?

Does the toxic 280x takes up to 3 slots? Cause I am hovering the idea of getting it but I have a pci-e sound card.

Right now with my 7850 dualx oc, no problem fitting them all in.

Google didnt give the definite answer for me.

Have you tried reinstalling? Cause the latest beta driver also did that to me on first install. But when reinstalling, no problem.

Seems like something is wrong your HDMI Driver. If you still wants to update the driver, try custom installation and update only the card's driver. Try to untick other HDMI related updates.

Waiting the day R9 290 with custom cooler to hit our shelves!
