Currently still on old 6850 crossfire, thinking to get a huge upgrade soon.
Still ragu-ragu either get 7970 if in case someone want to sell me one for sub 900... (or sub 800? dreaming... tongue.gif )

Or just bleed wallet a bit and wait for R290 non reference cooler. Possible still sub 1.5k with non-reference...?
Or just grab a R280x right NOW with RM1200+-? haiz... had been thinking whole afternoon... rclxub.gif

(wonder how much should I sell those two Asus 6850... 300 each? hmm.gif )

1920x1080. Yeah I scare the new non-reference will go high also =/
Want to ditch crossfire and go single card, as some game don't run (or run well) on both so no good. After all already around 2 years...

Yea sometime I also told myself "what's the point spending that money?". But then later when newer games like The Witcher 3 came out I gonna struggle... (tbh even now I struggle a bit but still can tolerate). I rarely play retail games (last I bought was TombRaider, it works wonder on 6850 crossfire still), but at least I hoping for a smoother performance for online games now (cfx didn't work -- stuggle on 1 card) and for upcoming (not much to wait but just The Witcher 3...).

So if on that casing forced to use the lower PCIe slot. Not sure if that affect performance.

Need casing meh, open air je lah whistling.gif

So far so good with my new R9 280x, but still not enough power to turn on ubersampling in Witcher 2 sweat.gif become 30fps+- still playable but the fan become insanely loud due to very high stress.

which did u get the vapor/dual/toxic?  sad news again for me.. new card cant even turn on ubersampling in an old game. but then ubersampling not much different on a game right?

It just a form of anti-aliasing, the difference can be hard to spot at all.
I got the toxic one. Internal length around 31.5cm. Open air, I bet it will be a b**** to clean-up the complicated heat sink later whistling.gif

blink.gif  wow really ? :V my i was hoping it's  quite then reference with better thermal/noise

on normal gaming, it won't really go pass that point unless stressed with insane graphic or really high resolution.
i was mining for whole day sweat.gif can't pass 300KH/z otherwise got real noisy. Technically R9 280x can push over 600KH/z hash rate.

mounting additional fan blowing doesn't seems to help one bit though,
I am thinking maybe manufacturer should have gone 3 slot design for bigger heat sink sweat.gif

RM269, + a pair of Corsair fan let say... RM350 hmm.gif can consider.

lost the guide i used but this should do, although too many texts. i used to try got into bitcoin but things were so complicated or confusing so just bail it.now we have a new type of coin, and things looks rather simple, decide just to try for fun.
