oh yes oh yes this is making me so happy after all the hype that i made. it really came out as it should be!!! firstly usd550 killedddddd nvidia!!! secondly the omg performances!!! then imagine when the driver is properly optimized and the card is OCed!!!

huh? at Linus's video 290x loses to gtx780 on 1080p/1440p but cheaper by usd100 is a steal!!
do u guys think its a good upgrade from my gtx680 to 290x on 1080p 120hz?? |

my 680 also run fine on 1080p but my mon is 120hz so i guess by owning a 290x (sweet price) will give me some more fps!!  |

why many said 290x feels cheap n rushed? well because its usd550 and its cheap! they wanna let the custom-cooling companies do the magic!! but when its in the system n case the card will b upside down.. who the hell can see the so called 'cheap n ugly' design? hahaha

Some of you have expressed concern over the GPU running at 95C. Be assured, that 95C is a perfectly safe temperature at which the GPU can operate for its entire life. There is no technical reason to reduce the target temperature below 95C. However, like all aspects of PowerTune, this is completely within the control of the end user. If you would rather have you GPU operate at a lower temperature, such as 85C or 73C, we strongly encourage you to customize it to your preference and write about it in your review. This is, after all, the reason that we design products with this level of flexibility.
