QUOTE(sai86 @ Oct 24 2013, 08:36 AM) can't blame him as well. all we know is the announcement and how it works n etc. but we unable to see the real performance as these reviewer, hence we are not WOW yet atm. also the cost of getting taste on Gsync is kinda high (for me at least). 1st, needed to chg to a green card (not quite a problem) 2nd, the monitor. The Asus announcement on this is the price very high for me for a 24" TN 1080p. with the same amount, i prefer dell u2713hm ips @ 1440p, but then if i wanted the same monitor but with gsync, how much will it cost me? i'll play the waiting game. wait for it to mature, stabilize and see how it goes. atm, all theories is WOW, juz like mantle, bulldozer n etc. peace 24inches g-sync monitor cost rm1.5k and above

QUOTE(owikh84 @ Oct 24 2013, 10:08 AM) http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?...N82E16814121819 $600 USD only for BF4 bundle. So, I think $550 for the card alone as rumored earlier seemed legit. omg only 550 hope u r right then. 780/780Ti can never match the price then..

QUOTE(marfccy @ Oct 24 2013, 05:45 PM) impressive card indeed, smoking Titan and 780 in 1440p and above but loses to 780 in 1080p? fishy indeed but the pricing is awesome for its level of performance, even the GTX780 cant cope with that. Nvidia will have to perform some price cuts in enar future? near very very near maybe tml or next monday? gonna wait for 780 to drop to usd550 too (if it happen later) then see custom cooled 290x can beat the crap out of 780 or not. by then will decide which one to go.. mantle vs gsync

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Oct 24 2013, 06:23 PM) i thought some older 120hz/144hz can support gsync but you need to buy the gsync kit. gsync need 120hz/144hz monitor. 60hz monitor is useless for gysnc. Nvidia plans to make the technology available two different ways. First, those of you with existing monitors — otherwise known as “everyone” — will be able to upgrade an Asus VG248QE display with a standalone kit. No word on whether everyone who doesn’t own a VG248QE display will be able to upgrade or not, or whether the upgrade will be available on Asus monitors in that family at the 27-inch size. http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/169091-n...onize-pc-gamingThis post has been edited by law1777: Oct 24 2013, 06:45 PM

why many said 290x feels cheap n rushed? well because its usd550 and its cheap! they wanna let the custom-cooling companies do the magic!! but when its in the system n case the card will b upside down.. who the hell can see the so called 'cheap n ugly' design? hahaha

Some of you have expressed concern over the GPU running at 95C. Be assured, that 95C is a perfectly safe temperature at which the GPU can operate for its entire life. There is no technical reason to reduce the target temperature below 95C. However, like all aspects of PowerTune, this is completely within the control of the end user. If you would rather have you GPU operate at a lower temperature, such as 85C or 73C, we strongly encourage you to customize it to your preference and write about it in your review. This is, after all, the reason that we design products with this level of flexibility. http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/radeo...chmarks,11.html
