is it applicable to all AMD or only recent series like r7 and r9

Felt real stupid selling my AMD Silver bundle with the option to choose Thief. Sigh. But yeah, those games plus BF4 will be the real indicator of how well Mantle performs. Even a slight 5% increase in performance for AMD GPUs is gonna send nVidia bat shit crazy.

It's only limited to R9, R7 and HD7000 series GPUs like the 7970.

I hope AMD able to show something really "jaw-dropping" with Mantle,
but too bad they delayed the Mantle patch and currently there is no review and actual experience report on it yet.

Well can't blame EA for delaying the Mantle patch for BF4 due to the base game being full of glitches, bugs, connection issues and netcode inadequacies.

But yeah, like I said, this is an Ace in AMDs hand, and I hope they really pull it off and bury nVidia six feet under. XD

Now u understand what is mantle right since chew yongxian has explained to u. Just wait for those game eg BF4 which supported mantle & see it has any major different between directX

Yeah in some cases you do not experience any issues at all, but there has been one too many cases worldwide of frequent crashes and glitches, to a point where due to dropping sales, bad press and falling shares EA themselves got sued. Really hope they fix the game within the next few months

The price difference for those two are really close. But if you want lower power consumption and the ability the run at maximum for longer periods and cooler, get the 280X Toxic. But if you want better overrall performance and speed, and you're willing to lose some max possible clock rates by using powertune to limit temps and fan speed, then get the 290. But I really suggest to your friend to top up a bit more and get a Sapphire 290 Tri X instead.

ah okay .. but the sued case is actually a bull*** greedy share holder that don't seem to understand no invest(stock) stay increase for permanent.. only Pyramid skim/Ponzi skim stay internal increase all year (infamous big ponzi skim Century), but have you Experience the game Fail/Crash ? i have not exp it and i dare to say XCOM Enemey unknow have more Crash or partial crash (which i EXP Frequent Crash)

I have played it for awhile, but too short to notice much. But I have a Battlefield 3/4 platoon and I receive reports from my friends on multiple crashes, ping below 30 feeling like it's 500 ping and lags like hell, and frequent netcode issues where a .50 cal to the face wouldn't kill you but a 9mm bullet to the leg would. But now not so bad. November/Early December was terrible. Even for purchasing I tried 17 times and could not purchase the game still got charged almost 70 bucks. Pissing off.

But as for the share holders, they weren't greedy. EA got too cocky and promised bigger things, and it didn't happen. And basic company law states that the company has TO WORK FOR the shareholders, not for themselves, despite how delusional that sounds now with all the greedy corporations. So if they promise something, they better make damn sure they keep it.

ah okay noted on the crash.. sorry u exp it then.. i guess good luck Buddha like fat ppl more lols so i am lucky..

EA stat it will Do all it best! to maximize profit for share holder but fair grounds Trade EA cannot control market is free flow.. lols like i say before at end shareholder own Decision make the transaction fund to hold stock with EA, not EA itself... EA as all Corporation will do it utterly it best to make profit.. but at end is all Risk.. and the risk of investment Stock to share holder is fail to make the double... profit.

Reference 290's doesn't really matter which brand you get from really. But if Non-reference get the Sapphire 290 Tri-X or MSI 290 Gaming 4G.

It's not market free flow dude. EA promised a certain benchmark, like every company they will make a forecast, just like what we used to do back for SPM when we will apply with forecast result. So imagine you are EA, and your parents are the shareholder. You promised 8A's as your Forecast results also 8A's. But in the end SPM only get 2As. Of course your parents will get pissed off and scold you right? Same thing. It's nothing to do with controlling the market. The drop was so bad they actually made losses per share. They promised a great game then ended up being buggy, full of problems and made the wrong headlines. Even some BF4 YouTubers went nuts. Watch this video till the very end. You can skip the first 30-40 seconds or so.
