on normal gaming, it won't really go pass that point unless stressed with insane graphic or really high resolution.
i was mining for whole day  sweat.gif  can't pass 300KH/z otherwise got real noisy. Technically R9 280x can push over 600KH/z hash rate.

mounting additional fan blowing doesn't seems to help one bit though,
I am thinking maybe manufacturer should have gone 3 slot design for bigger heat sink  sweat.gif

RM269, + a pair of Corsair fan let say... RM350  hmm.gif  can consider.

oh i got scared you said yours is toxic version right? means its 280x? bcoz Tri-X 290/290x got very very good reviews from reviewers

Yup, cheaper than an AIO or WC solution. But be warned. The MK26 is MASSIVE, and needs at least 4 PCI/e slots so survive. Corsair fans are up to you though. You can get the scythe gentle typhoons for a little more noise but extra firepower and only RM118 for a pair at retail, so you can get em cheaper on LYN no sweat.

pair with noctua fans if u can take their 'ugly' color laugh.gif

Seem like 290 + Arctic Accelero III combination is the best cooler

i know -----> http://www.tomshardware.de/amd-radeon-r9-2...e-241458-6.html

if u know how to look/read the table of Tri-x 290 and 290+AA3.. there is the 'testing' method thats the 'open benchtable(do u know the meaning of this?)' and 'closed case(means in a casing the side panel is closed)'

for normal users like us who use 'casing' we should look at 'closed case' results icon_idea.gif

You must remember, in the US prices are only a hundred dollars in difference between multiple GPUs for them, so it's very tight. They felt the 290X had a big enough performance advantage, as even in stock mode it runs the 780Ti close in several games, even more so at 1440p or 4K, and give it second place. The 290 meanwhile due to price increases has GTX780 and GTX770 for company. And if we are going to look at coolers, 290 stock is going lose hands down.

So unless they start testing non reference models, which haven't came out at the time of publication, it ain't gonna cut it, cuz they love their temps and also noise levels.

Or at least that's what I think. I might be wrong.

if only there r big reviewers here in malaysia. 290 non-x will b in the top5 for sure. the price here in RM is only 1500-1550
