QUOTE(nill @ Nov 4 2013, 06:53 PM)
If I have RM1000, i will not bother getting a 2 year old card.. Want games, just buy from Steam..

Or wait for Maxwell next year. 7000 series will be obsolete by then (if the price is right).
*
So that mean yet to be release GTX 780 Ti is not worth it because it is also based on 2 years old architecture? hmm.gif

Based on previous history pricing, when reached Malaysia the card it will be 200-300 more expensive than oversea price.
*
We totally expect that. Hopefully the non-ref price around RM1.5k.

Will they bring out higher end R9 290x with better fan and heat sink build like Asus Platinum matrix series? not fond of power color products.
*
Non-ref 290x probably will be release this month.

+ Comes with fan
+ 2 slots

The MK-26 require 3-4 slots.  shocking.gif
Some reviews says no fans included.

EDIT: MK-26 is quite heavy.
*
Yes, MK-26 is heavy and require 4 slots + fan. That's why i asked about cooling performance only. laugh.gif

Update: Based on your feedback, I took the IceQ X2 cooler off the HIS Radeon R9 280X and stuck it on our R9 290 sample. Cooling was dramatically improved. The FurMark stress test maxed out at 76 degrees while the card never exceeded 63 degrees in Crysis 3 and Battlefield 4. So it seems as expected the board partners will be able to solve the heat issues of the reference card.
