-SOLD-

I have a brand new Sonos Beam (black) to let go.

I bought two sets, one for the living room and one intended for the bedroom.

My other half subsequently decided against having a TV set up in the bedroom hence the Sonos Beam can go to a better home.

Discuss with me if you are interested. Thanks!

INTRODUCING THE NEW SONOS BEAM!  rclxm9.gif  Finally, a soundbar that we can afford? Or at least try to afford getting it biggrin.gif

FRONT VIEW:

[attachmentid=9845414]

BACK VIEW:
[attachmentid=9845415]
[attachmentid=9845417]

PRECISE POINTERS:

1. It is SONOS's first SMART COMPACT SOUNDBAR. Why SMART? Alexa enabled voice control, GOOGLE Assist.

2. Airplay2 (iOS 11.4 and above) compatible , cast it from your idevice (We can finally stream Youtube from your iOS device)

3. Comes in two colors , Black or White

4. Back connection ports: Lan port, HDMI ARC slot, connect button, power port.

What is HDMI ARC? = Most TVs have two to four HDMI ports, one of which is labelled ARC, which stands for Audio Return Channel. The HDMI-ARC port syncs audio and picture, plus automatically pairs your TV remote to Sonos Beam. If you’re unsure if your TV has an HDMI-ARC port, consult your TV specs with the manufacturer.

5. Turn On or Off TV with Alexa - tv must be compatible

6. Has the usual Speech Enhancement for clear dialogue, Night Mode.

7. Whats in the box? Other than the usual stuff these are the extras that are different :HDMI cable, Optical Audio Adapter (HDMI to Optical Adapter).

8. Can expand to 5.1 system.

That's about it! Stay tuned for pre-order soon!  thumbup.gif

Hi guys,

I've been wanting to get a wireless multi-room speaker system and have been wondering what are available in the current market.
Sonos seems to be the leader - sounds promising.
Audio Pro - very little online reviews.
Any other systems worth considering?
Please advise if anyone has tested and compared any wireless systems.
Thanks!

For me, I have been using Sonos 5.1 system for more than a year already.

Fully satisfied even though there is no Dolby atmos.

The reason I get Sonos:

1. Constant firmware update
2. Wireless
3. Easy plug and play so no headache when adding more speakers

But my main reason is :
4. Speech Enhancement
5. Night Sound

Cheers.....

Thanks for your response.... Yea i guess sonos is the first recommended system for ease of use.

I'm also attracted to the Audio Pro system, as it includes a battery powered portable model (addon c3) along with bluetooth, which I believe will be useful espacially for parties/gatherings. Anyone tried them?

Some other available multi room playing speaker system.

1. DENON HEOS system

https://usa.denon.com/us/heos

2. BLUESOUND

https://www.bluesound.com/

Audio Pro havent really tried them yet, but they do look good. Above mentioned brands are more established in Malaysia.

Bluesound also have speaker option that has battery add ons, and the app functionality is almost similar to SONOS. Stable.

You can consider researching on them.

All,

With recently launch of Ikea Symfonisk speakers, I'm considering getting Sonos Beam.

I'm currently using Google Nest Hub with 3 Home Mini & a couple of Chromecast audio for whole home audio. I'm planning to setup a 5.1 surround in living with: -

1) A Sonos Beam
2) A pair of Ikea Symfonisk for rear surround
3) A Sonos Sub

Can anyone confirm that Google Assistant is working in Sonos in Malaysia?

To save some money & have fun on #3, I may hack into a side of rear Symfonisk to connect with a 12" active sub. Someone has already done it in YouTube.

Cheers
