Nexus 4 cannot stream our local radio station without data, because Nexus 4 don't have FM Radio Antenna. Same goes to Nexus 5 as well. For data, I use Tunein Radio.

Even Galaxy Nexus already don't have it. Nothing surprising there

annoymous1234 are you using a custom kernel? if you are, check whether it is using dynamic f-sync.

safest would be f-sync always on, dynamic f sync off.
most likely something is messed up at your data partition. This is what i did when it happened to mine (months ago, when i first got the N4)

1. do a nandroid first (CWM works best for recovering via Titanium backup, later on).

2. then try wiping /system and /data (not sdcard) and then reflash the ROM.

3. install Titanium backup and use the restore from nandroid backup option, select your apps that you want to restore.
if you are really afraid of losing your data, you can go into recovery mode and then do an adb pull on your whole /sdcard directory before attempting step 2.

finally, stick with a close to stock kernel, or change f sync to always on, and dynamic f sync off.

Try flash the ROM again? I believe whatsapp can survive since a backup is made in the storage (Whatsapp folder) unless you messed with it before.

I suggest you to make titanium backup runs on schedule once every 3 days (or so) then even if you lose any data, it won't be > 3 days old.

might wanna check those f sync settings though, if you are using a custom kernel that is. you can view it in app like trickstermod. most likely, it is caused by adjustments to the f sync behaviour.

not sure man, my last nandroid was months ago. a slimmed nandroid is all i keep on the phone, + Titanium Backup for core apps

GPE devices update is still kinda mystery.
OEM say Google handle the hardware adaptation & function updates but Google say OEM will deliver updates themselves.
I think Google will just take care of the entire system update but it is up to the OEM when they want to push the update.

Back to Nexus story,I wonder how long will the Nexus devices will have to wait for the update & how many features will be Nexus 5 exclusive.
I found the whole "Google Experience Launcer is a Nexus 5 exclusive" thing to be a stupid idea.The launcher file itself is mostly dummy file nowdays.Since the Google search is in pretty much all Android devices why not push the experience too all Android devices? It's a good thing if more people use Google stuff right?

Google really is disappointing now. How can they keep things exclusive to the Nexus 5? going to android.com and seeing the features, some of them is purely nexus 5 features.. android.com should be showcasing AOSP features, and not for their own device..

Google is going down the Apple route, locking things to their latest gadget just like what apple is doing every time a new iOS is released. Gone are the days when Nexus=no bullshit developer phone series and a big f*** you to selfish companies like Apple and Samsung. Hell, now even Samsung is better, with Galaxy Note 1 getting Premium Suite upgrade to be on par with the Note 2 when it came out.

The very fact we had to wait so long for 4.4 when AOSP has been released for a week or more is already showing Google's "Apple" behavior.

I feel cheated by Google buying this phone. Of course I can flash custom ROM.. but Google already betrayed all of us. GEL launcher and 4.4 should be included with Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4. How can Google stop supporting GN when custom ROMS can run 4.4 WITH GEL perfectly? TI updated their binaries according to XDA.
