I got my 2.4 on 27 Jan as of now already clocked 1300++KM. Highway driving definitely can get 12KM/L... but city traffic is the killer. My average FC for 1300km mix of higway(40%) and City/LDP driving(60%) is around 9.3 KM/L...... hopefully it will improve after 10KM service after proper engine run in.

I didnt follow the engine run in rule strictly......

After 2300km, the car still have some low "woo woo" noise, I am confuse whether the noise is come from engine or wheel, sound like the noise similar to wheel bearing noise and I don't recall this noise when I tested drive the 2.0 twice. I think I will check with SC asap whether this noise is normal sad.gif

I got mine 2.4 on 28 Jan 2014.
I have traveled around 850km till today.

Complaints:

1. Rattling Sound
Today, I noticed some "ji-ji-ji" rattling sound when driving over bumpy road. But I could not locate the source of the sound.
Anyone has the similar rattling sound?

2. Sound Proof
Even with the latest ASC by Honda, I still think that the sound proof is not very good. I can hear the motorbike passing my car. Annoying.

3. Navigator / GPS
The come with the car Navigator is useless. The current location icon is not showing the correct location. I was in USJ, but it show location at Dengkil. It is useless because without the correct current location, it can't point the correct route.
Anyone can help?

On the rattling sound, does it come from the back? If yes, mine had it before, from the 3rd brake light or speakers, no idea. But was fixed on the first service.

On GPS, do you put tint-film on your windscreen? This might cause a degradation of GPS signal. I've no problem with mine (I've LLumar). The only complain about the GPS, the maps are not updated.

Hi Wiraone,

Sound.
I will get the SC to check the 3rd brake light / speaker, thanks for your input.

GPS.
Mine tinted also Lumar, it's Crystal 6.
I used my smartphone GPS no problem at all, very very accurate. I used it together with the car GPS. The car GPS made me laugh.
I was in Bukit Beruntung, my phone GPS shows accurately, but the car GPS shows I am in Dengkil. What the #%$%$#.
Further, the map is so outdated, at least few years back.

Hi RVN10,

I just could not understand, a GPS is not advance technology, even a few hundred buck GPS can perform better than our Accord Navi.

How come Honda will end up with this useless Navi, I believe in depth testing must be carried out before pushing out to the market.

We end up with a nice big LED screen but useless Navi.

what the $%$%.

If u guys are concerned about the sounds of motorcycle passing by, i guess u have to add soundproof materials. For me i'm more disturbed with the sounds coming from the radiator fans and aircond compressor when the car is idling. I can still hear the sounds whereas it was quiet when i had my Altis last time. No weird sounds while moving though.

The built in GPS is really wasted. Even the Honda foreman admits the map is outdated and inaccurate. Same complaints i read with the US Accord as well. No updates so far. What annnoys me when i type in for a location, why the hell does it suggests places in Indonesia?? Anyone know how to change the settings?

I use it now and then .. but Waze on my Samseng S3 is much better in term of the map. As mentioned by few, the search function is rarely useful when trying to find an address and the map is outdated. The SC advisor said, feel free to get the maps elsewhere, they don't know how to update it and there is no update pushed by Honda for now. But as always, when you asked your salesman, they'll say the maps will regularly updated and it will be FOC smile.gif

I just came back from the SC. Spent 6 hours waiting. I am very very piss off right now. I just post the following to Honda Malaysia Facebook:

MY POST ON HONDA MALAYSIA FACEBOOK PAGE
9th GENERATION HONDA ACCORD NAVIGATION SYSTEM (GPS)
I would like to express my disappointment.
I received my Accord 2.4 Vtil on 27 Jan 2014.
1 - 2 days : GPS works fine although map is totally out of date few years.
3 - 5 days : GPS on and off can't locate the current location.
6 - 7 days : GPS can't locate the currect location.
When I was at Subang USJ, it shows my location at Dengkil.
Without the correct current location, the GPS is useless.

6 Feb 2014: I went to one of the Honda 3S center. I waited for 6 hours. The technician removed my lower dashboard (pain in the ass for a one week old new car), trying every thing they can, they even called you Honda Malaysia HQ. The result: NO SOLUTION AS THIS MOMENT OF TIME, DON'T KNOW WHEN THE SOLUTION WILL BE AVAILABLE.

what a joke, a 173k car GPS can't even pinpont current location, which at the same time, my 2k smartphone pinpoint my current location accurately. This is totally unacceptable.

The GPS is one of your SELLING POINT, I paid for it but it is not working at all.

I WOULD LIKE AN OFFICIAL SOLUTION FOR THIS PROBLEM ASAP.

I believe what they need to do is to find where the gps antenna .. and reposition? I wonder if they could find where the gps antenna is.

Honda Malaysia told them the location of the antenna, but no one dare to touch it. Even I will not let touch it because IT IS RIGHT BEHIND THE NAVI SCREEN. Image you have to remove the whole dash board to gain access to the antenna. STUDIO DESIGN.

I have Connex. Connex antenna is somewhere reachable.

Stupid Honda. Very Studio.

I believe you don't need to remove the dashboard to get into the back of the screen. There is video on youtube on how to remove the screen and hack the imid. I believe to fix this, either they need to replace the whole navi or replace the antenna. BTW, they've Accord 2014 way earlier in US, I believe the technicians are not trained enough for this new Accord.

2013 Accord Backup Sensor
Guys, the switch is located together with the VSC and Parking Sensor.
I noticed the SC removed something to do the work.
Just now I tried to on and off the Backup Sensor, but the indicator no light at all?
The VSC and Parking Sensor are alright.
Could you help to try to see yours whether the indicator will light if press on / off?
