true, but wait till you try putting on or taking off a tubeless tire without a lever smile.gif

Tubeless is another thing altogether. Only basic tubed tyre & caliper brakes setup on my aluminium ride. Cheap, sturdy and easy tyre changes.

Actually its not that difficult to change tyres or tubes without the lever. The toughest part is getting enough pressure into the new tube using a hand pump.

ok..just bought 2 vittoria corsa cx open clincher 700x25..the closest feeling to tubular tyres on clincher as the marketing says. so i'll give it a try..also bought 2 vittoria latex tubes (freaking expensive tubes i must say!)

anyway i got comments from my friend who uses 650cc tyres and said it is much faster compare to 700cc...is that true or only psychological effect? ;P

in tri... it was once a trend to run 650c front lar...more of an aero reason than anything lar... but, it's been outlawed anyway...

and how would you think your calipers clamp the rims on a 650c? you need 650c specific fork leh... or long reach calipers which you can only find in ciplak calipers.. so, no dura ace, red, and those shit...

i just went and check the veloflex corsa.. and the price was surprising just like the ceramicspeed bearings were... just a tad more expensive than gp4000s only .... but miao should stay away from it lar... that tire is written with danger all over it... seems like it will blow jus with the slightest touch with a prick from a cactus...

650c outlawed? not allowed in competition or the theory that it's faster is debunked?

and about the veloflex and vittoria, practically the same tyres right?

nope... one made in italy.. one made in thailand as far as i know... do you trust the italians or the thais?

i remember it's not allowed in the form of 650 front and 700 rear lar... a full 650c bike is allowed to compete as some female riders does compete in those bike due to sizing issues...

but, it's not a consideration for your cos of the technical problem of using a 650c on your frame...

you tokin bout full 650 or 650 front first?

theoretically is it possible for a MTB to catch up with a Road Bike on a flat highway race?
*
you'll be hard pressed to go above 35km/h and maintain that on flats with a MTB. and that's with slick tires.

and yes, I've tried smile.gif
