I had the same initial thought as you until my dad pointed out all these things that I overlooked. dude..my car is fitted with ngv for more than a year..no such things as ur dad mentioned..tuning the air mixture may occur with mixer system, which is easily fix with the right tuner..for sequential system, it's all computerised..  maintenance is just the same like during petrol days..tukar minyak hitam, plug, oil filter..and that's about it really..
