The Auction Houses were convenient — too convenient, one might say. Without them, the economy will slow down considerably. With a less sophisticated economic system, far fewer transactions will occur on a daily basis, the market will take much longer to become saturated, and overall, people will mostly be getting items from loot drops rather than from trading. And isn’t that the way it should be? One issue, however, is that the implementation of Loot 2.0 and subsequent elimination of the Auction House will make Diablo 3 into a completely different game. While the consensus is that it will be a better game, the fact remains that it will be different from the game millions of people have already paid for. Is it fair for Blizzard to alter a product someone has already paid for so drastically, without giving that customer the option to keep it as it was? Because there is no offline mode, players have no choice but to download the patches that will forever alter their play experience. Blizzard tries its best to make diablo 3 a better game by losing few gamers. I realize that I will miss the Auction Houses since some gamers played Auction House Tycoon than D3, but I care more about the game itself. A better game experience will surely attract more players. |

Too early to tell.
If we get stuck at RoS like Barbs stuck at Inferno in the early stage of the game, the gaming experience will be suck-balls. This post has been edited by ALeUNe: Oct 8 2013, 03:16 PM |

If they do want to remove it, how are the chances players will get decent enough drops/crafts to challenge high MP Inferno?
Most players only get trash drops so far, without AH, some wont be able to complete MP3 inferno with current drop quality situation. Too easy to get legendary quality drops also will kill the game, later, most will rant this game is too easy. |

MP/Uber bosses are made to make the game tougher and challenging.
Imagine there's no MP/Uber bosses. I guess D3 would have been abandoned much earlier. |

Indeed, the synergy of skills makes D3 outstanding. The synergy of skills made those D2 wannabes, like Torchlight and Path of Exile, pale and old school. Not only barb, all class of heroes have their own builds and synergy of various skills. It's fun to kill mobs with combination of keys/skills. D3 development team is genius. Of course, thanks to Jay Wilson too. ![]() Let's hope RoS will have the same kind of synergy (after all kind of nerfs). This post has been edited by ALeUNe: Oct 8 2013, 05:40 PM |

SC2 : HoTs didn't exactly save SC2 overall too.
Let's just hope RoS did a better job. |
