I just renew my insurance and road tax...my almera is VL spec...so I try to insure 60k but the insurance company reject...so now I insure value at 63k...

Dear Almerian, my VL already clocked 9,000 km. Should be due for 3rd service on next month. So far after 5months, i would like to make some comments and appreciate if everyone can give feedback or advise. Thanks.

1. Exterior- good noise proof. Acceptable design(mine without bodykit). Looks like mini luxury.
My brilliant white paint doesnt looks durable.
Wondering anyone install any BK apart from Impul? DRL? Pls include price.

2. Interior- acceptable design & quality. Spacious rear legroom. Good headroom.
Uncomfortable seat. Its no providing enough support and comfort. Gear knob looks cheapo. Awkward steering positioning. Handrest at door too low and narrow. Not practical. Switches at door too far from reach. Need to buy armrest. No seatpocket at rear. Compartment above glovebox not practical. The two bar holding windscreen is too width and bulky thus blocking view during cornering.

Appreciate feedback on this. Since we will be inside most of the time.

3. Handling- smooth drive. Decent gear switching. My top speed is 180km/h.
Miserable cornering at above 50km/h. Car will is very floaty and swirl alot at above 100km/h. Steering lack response at speed above 140km/h. Tyre feels uneven and unbalance at speed above 80km/h. Car will sidestep during high speed braking.
Can't agree more on this bro, all I can say is my driving style has been changed drastically after I started driving an Almera, from Fast & Furious to Slow & Steady 

Any solution? Change tyre? Change rim? Install anti roll bar? Im really stuck at this part. The most important issue that i wanna solve. Kindly give recomendation and price.
I reckon by changing to a wider and better tire would improve braking, while lowered spring+ARB+camber adjustment would improve handling

4. Bonnet- looks spacious. Looks width.
In actual its depth. Due to rear seat cant fold.

5. Engine- lightweight engine. Wet based battery. Everything is just fine at the engine compartment.
I was wondering whats the engine oil used on 10k service? Can we choose or bring our own oil?
They'll pour in Castrol semi synthetic, which then will change your service intervals from every 5000km to 10000km.

Almerian, come and spill out whatever your thought is. I hope that we can all improve our Almer into flawless drive.

15" for save FC...16" ok..but i recommend 17"...nicer

Hi im randy im a tan chong sales advisor. Tan chong is quite a shitty company bad management and very conventional thinking. They are lucky enough to have brought in nissan and thats the reason why they can survive up to now.

Lucky enough they have a saying if u want to beat ur enemy(toyota in precise), 1st u have to be as good as them. All the old uncle boss of tan chong whom are up to no good had been replaced by younger managers specifically from umw. Yes, a revolutionary move, but as tempting as it sounds, still they withheld the old conventional thinking, with all the sops, its gonna have a revolutionary effect which is good but its gonna take awhile.

Ok, im here to help to clarify anything u need and want to know about all the comparison and feedback on all car makes. And i will be very honest with u guys. Just that if anyone were to buy a nissan, i hope my sincerity help to close back some business. Thank u

Haha indeed proud now since u put it this way... my only gripe is the pickup is slow and soundproof not that good. Just now read some forumer serviced their car over rm1k now scared liao...

How is the gear shifting, short throw? Is it like Saga BLM - long throw, and very rubbery feeling when changing gear?
How soft is the clutch, like Iswara, BLM?

I'm planning to get a manual, but no showrooms have a manual to test.

My Almera bearing issue arise on 20K mileage.

im aso getting same reply regarding the charges of 40 k service. after two chaser mail still no reply n tat was a month ago.

how many manual we have? user manual only? how about technical manual?

regret bought this car...   ...hate TC..always putar belit...i remembered when 1st time i went to their showroom..they showed me service price for almera..now they change and make it 3x cost!

what is the "power maintenance package" all about? and how much does it cost? I also feel it is ridiculous for them to advertise such a low service package on their website/service menu at branch and finally quote such a high price.

What do you think? My car is model 2013...not until one year kaw kaw drop...before this insured RM70k for VL but now? This got quote from LonPac, panel insurance Nissan.

That's why I bought 2nd hand. New would've cost RM92k, but just 2 years and I bought it for RM65k. If you want good resale you should've looked at Toyota or Honda.

Anyway, it's just "paper loss" unless you decide to sell it. If you're happy with the car, just drive it for a few more years and then change to something else.

Nissan car all the time not good in resell value, need atleast after 5 years sell only not loss too much
