Anyone here have solved this problem ?

I will be getting my car by next week. Already advised my SA to check properly for this issue.

So, anyone still awaiting for this car, make sure you advise the SA in advance so they can pre-check this stuff out. wink.gif

Congrats man, I just got my car E A/T yesterday, upgraded to full spec.. one.

Fuel seems 11.5l/km . I hope it can reduce more... will reset it after my current full tank empty.

I think you are the best performer of Almera so far... smile.gif rclxms.gif

Its been some time since i last posted here. My VL already clocked 11k +. Just to share:

Last word of advice, for uphill drive (genting tongue.gif) just use D with OD off. No need 2 & L gear. For downhill just use 2nd gear. Trust me. Im a regular doh.gif haha
*
Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. could you tell me what is "OD off"

much appreciate your response.

Thank you.

Od means overdrive.
It is not revving ur rpm higher. Its the last gear.
On manual transmission od is the 5th gear.
Od off means u wont switch to the last gear. Why?
Because u can have the power needed as climbing
Uphill.
By default its od on for fuel efficient.

If u going uphill and have the right momentum,
U dont have to off the od. Like one of user here
Here did not of the pd for genting. But he has good
Tyre rather then that lousy continental cc.

Cheers mate.
*
Thanks mate for the kind reply.

Haven't tried yet the OD yet, when start the car, the the OD /on/off light lid up for a moment then off.

Anyway, reading through the user manual for better understanding.

Thanks for the heads up. thumbup.gif

Anyone experience problem with break? Last few days when i drive my Almera, I notice when i steps on break paddle, there is slight feeling which is not smooth (hard to explain, but the feeling is like something stuck in the break so when i press the paddle, it is not smooth), sometimes happen, sometimes not, and in some situation, i hear some noise from rear side.

and this happen after i try full load on rear passengers seat (4 ladies sitting behind, from KL to Shah Alam)  cry.gif
*

Ya,but I think need to pay labour cost unless I do it during regular service, now my millage is 12000km only, still 8000km to go...
*
Do we have to pay labour cost when issues arises while car within warranty? I think it should not.

any body use their spare tyre and bought another 3@1 tyre when changing to a new tyre..??i might going to do that since almera got full size spare tyre..better fully use it than making it as a spare tyre..we can swap it with 2nd hand tyre since the % of having a flat tyre is when u are not lucky that day..better i think..save cost.. biggrin.gif
*
Yes, good idea too. I will implement this in time.

Thanks. thumbup.gif

I read somewhere and it is affect the warranty if u change the sport rim..someone can cnfrm it..??anyway, will be using my steel rim until end of the warranty.. sad.gif
*
Hi,

Your are correct. Even the SA in PJ HQ told me, will viod warranty. So he advises me, to keep the sport rims for 3 years until warranty end and when issues arises, put back the ori sport rim (time and cost involved) before bring back to SC. smile.gif
