if you DC normally the stats will be saved on EA.
unless the server you're playing on crashes before the round ends, then you lose everything during that round.

and the commander bonus score.
i think you meant career points, cos thats the one that lets you rank up.
the global score determines what position you are in the stats.

What I did to achieve this, plus the explosions pin, is to lepak at a choke point, example like Suez Canal map, the Silo on the bottom right is perfect. Place 2 motion mines on the 'bridge' (the only place vechicles can enter) and you're guaranteed to kill a few(or alot).. Put some infront of the hover tank(and buggy), put another two behind APC, so when someone jumps in, it homes in directly. Remember to put EMP mines around for an anti-tank missle kill.

Oh, I also had plenty of supply, had two crates at the silo, and I was alone guarding the area. Same guy getting killed over and over again due to mines.

[Edit] added pics, screenshot one is after sneaking up a mech, and placing 3 mines. Screenshot two.. I died and returning to the choke point. Notice "You killed Inja".. Man, that was sad.. too many times and he doesn't learn his lesson!

Earlier today EA released a patch to the EA Downloader which effectively uninstalled EA Downloader and then installed the new "EA Downloader" which is called EA Link. Due to the uninstall it deleted all of the information associated with the cdkey of the game you purchased making the BF2142 that you had installed useless. By useless I mean whenever ANYONE connects to a server they are greeted with the message "Invalid CDKey". If you are one of the lucky ones to manage to be able to connect to a server eventually 2-3 minutes down the line you will be kicked from the server by Punkbuster telling you that you have a "duplicate key".

If you did not know of this situation by now it is most likely because you do not own BF2142, which I would have to say at this point, good for you and do not get it. There remains no solution to the problem at this moment as EA has yet to respond 10+ hours later but you can at least join in the fun on the EA message boards and tell them how much you hate them here.

We would like to explain here how committed we are to increasing everyone's experience with Battlefield, especially regarding the updates for Battlefield 2142. We acknowledge that the patching process could have been smoother for Battlefield 2; we have listened to the feedback and learnt from it.

To accomplish this goal Dice has recently formed a Live Team with the purpose of making sure your playing experience on the Battlefield is as solid as possible after the game is launched. Among other things, the team works closely with the community and handles the patching process, together with the Ranked Server Providers.

Your Dice Live Team is located at the Dice Studio in Stockholm and is made up of key people from the game project teams. This means that the same people who actually built Battlefield 2142 will be responsible for updating it. It has the clear advantage of involving people who are fully knowledgeable about the code and design of the game. The patches will also be thoroughly tested in closed beta tests before being released.

The patches will also be entirely dedicated to correcting bugs and making fixes instead of introducing new gameplay mechanics, thus significantly reducing the risk of introducing new bugs with the patches.

With all this said, we would like to announce patch 1.05 for Battlefield 2142. The patch includes more than 25 fixes which will improve every player's experience on the Battlefield.

The following fixes will be included, along with many others:

* Titan will no longer be able to move once its shields are down, so that lag within the titan should be significantly reduced and revive inside the titan shouldn't be a problem any more

* Changes in EA master server communication to greatly reduce disconnects

* Players are now able to receive the Titan Survival Pin

* All players will see the same missile silo location numbers in Titan Mode

Patch 1.05 is scheduled for release later in November so keep watching this space for detailed release information. Also, stay tuned for more information on an upcoming competition allowing you to make your mark in 2142.
