err.guyz..plz help..i dunno whats happened with my rig..

recently i juz bought 2x512mb crucial micron ddr667 ram for jy14's bulk..

and i managed to get thru 2.6ghz,
vcore : 1.6v
vdimm : 2.1v
timing : ddr667 CL4-4-4-12
* i didnt touch any other voltage and timing setting.

after passed the 1M superPI, i restart and try to oc again..but no luck..maybe its becoz of 2.1vdimm..

but then, when i change back to 2.6ghz setting (like stated above), BEEP sound produced..

just now it managed to passed superPI, but after that it wont boot, plus there was a BEEP sound..

what happened actually?

guyz..juz wanna ask is my timing ok? currently its DDR800 CL4-4-4-5-11..
becoz after 4-4-4, those 5-11 are the lowest in my bios setting.

and if its not, any sifu can recommend me a good timing?

didnt satisfy with the chipset ka..?

so the conclusion is, dun peel off the hs, plus the sticker as well

so can it still be used?

uhm ..not sure but a little cooling would help..
if u want to use 2.4v for 24/7 usage, perhaps u should place a fan towards the ram so that the chip wont be so hot..

so is it ok if i use both my crucial value(512x2) and my corsair xms2(512x2) ram together?

uhm..i dun think i will seriously oc when im using both brands..
but im asking about 'compatibility' here, since my XMS2 is PC6400 while Crucial is PC5300..

so can i use the DDR800 divider with both brands?

ill take the one which confirm its a good chipset..
and for the statement quoted above, dun 4get that oc also depends on luck..
no need to use DFi, but if u r lucky enuff, cheapo (but good) mobo can bring u further..

uncle is sponsored , and i think 2.9v for DDR is ok right?

try this timing --> 4-4-3-8..
i tried with my crucial before and it worked..

i just tried copying the patriot ram timing (i forgot which ram) and applied it, suddenly it works

i dun think its because of my micron..

sadly cant managed to pass the superPI 32M as the temperature increased kaw2 ady..my rig suffered BSOD and shut down during the test

i wonder if its can go further ? since u used the CL5 timing

i think 2.1v is no problem for DDR1000 CL5..
someone already done it only with below 2.0v..

but for DDR1000 CL4, i seriously thinking that such tight timing needs higher voltage..

try my previous timing lor..applied at both my crucial and corsair..managed to hit DDR833 4-4-3-8...didnt try CL3 yet..will try after my mobo back from RMA..

perhaps it because of the high vdimm on value ram?

value ram also can be OCed, but u need to lower the divider and loose the timing..

got some ddr667 which comes with hynix chipset, and ddr533/ddr800 with D9GMH/D9GKX chipset..
try to find those and u r good to go

spotted KVR 1GB DDR667 D9HNL yesterday at Viewnet
