there is an option in the bios.. at the softmenu(for the E-series). Its called the DRAM:FSB ratio. i dont think u can unlink it due to the FSB architecture.

dominator is a good ram for oc-ing. But its aimed for different markets. We here cant afford it thats all. So we go for cheaper alternatives lor. Team Xtreem is excellent.

I think he meant other models of Corsair, not the Dominators? Anyway, I don't care about the numbers/benchmarks and real life FSB gain is what matters most

hye guys...an OC newbie here.... i just bought my crucial ballistix pc6400 ddr2 800.... cn anyone here tell me usually how far this ram usually cn go n gv me some tips on the timing.... now i'm running this ram on 945MHz with 4-4-4-8@2.2V....

Hmm I'm thinking of getting 2GB high performance ram. Right now I'm using a E8200 with DDR2800 value ram, so far can only reach 3.4GHz.

Between these 2 models, which is better for oc'ing?
Kingston: KHX6400D2LLK2/2GN DDR2 800 4-4-4-12
Corsair: Twin 2X 2048-6400C4DHX DDR2 800 4-4-4-12

need everyone opinion..the high latency or low latency ram. .which one is more better.

1 more..erm let say im running 1000mhz using 5:6 pass memtest..but 1000mhz 1:1 failed,i need to tweak wat else to make it stable for 1:1?

so, what u get as replacement to ur gskill . planning to get a kit oso that can hit 1200mhz

just got my Ballistix Tracers from shawty last nite.

tested them, and found out that they are not as good as it used to be

@2.2v i can only push up to 458MHz (916 DDR, 1:1) with 5-4-4-12.cant even boot at that speed with 4-4-4-12 .. while my D9GKX can do it absolutely with no sweat @ 2.0v...

is it the ram or my P35-DS3 is holding it out? tried various tweaking but none helps. Refer to my sig for my specs.

so the rumors that the 1gb modules chips got changed is true then, and high density modules are useless for OC (cant expect more like before - low vdimm @ 9xx)

any comments?
