QUOTE(siauann @ Feb 16 2007, 03:37 PM) yea..i tried 2.2vdimm CL4 kenot Hmmm.. maybe mobo do affects the overclockability. I just run that setting right away when I plug it into the mobo. Running stable now. Might try same settings with 2.1v see if its stable or not.or mayb different mobo affect different oc also.. now running 5-5-4-10 @ 2.1v testing stability i like this ram I haven't try running SuperPI yet. Let me run some first. Added on February 16, 2007, 7:18 pmAlso, in your signature, its Micron not Mircron. This post has been edited by Hyde`fK: Feb 16 2007, 07:18 PM |

I'm selling that board to a friend of mine. nForce 650i is faster than my previous P965, also more stable in overclocking.
Tried SuperPi, running stable. This post has been edited by Hyde`fK: Feb 16 2007, 07:52 PM |

You can try burn in the RAM with 800 @ 4-4-4-10 2.4vdimm. Who knows after 3 days, can clock like mad.

Its CPU-Z bug. Vcore 1.4 and above, CPU-Z will shows 1.2V, its the same for all of us. If you set less than 1.4v, then you can see different VID in the CPU-Z.

D9 Fatboy I guess. Well, you have to snap a close up shot on the chipset for us to identify. "MICRON DDR2 512MB PC2-5300 667MHz RAM" is just a description.

QUOTE(soulfly @ Mar 5 2007, 10:32 AM) fatbody not fatboy XD My bad on that.the reason why the thing is called fatbody because the chip is BIG and WIDE, and it does not have any gender (which boy or girl is out of the story anyway... that chip is FAR from being fatbody, it's not fatbody at all... that if you have actually seen fatbody chips it's just the low end D9xxx, not that overclockable. quite rubbish i should say. Added on March 5, 2007, 10:35 am you already got it in hand... just try it yourself. other people wouldn't know unless you give those to them to test. the chips are labelled as PSC QUOTE(taxidoor @ Mar 5 2007, 11:02 AM) Yup. If you want to get D9 now, get from yehlai's bulk as quick as possible. Its the best offer you can find for now. Added on March 5, 2007, 11:26 am QUOTE(taxidoor @ Mar 5 2007, 11:24 AM) okok, the chip is Big then DDR chiip = = Hardly can match.so the fatbody still can beat our Micron D9GMH/D9GKX or Hynix Fp-S5 ? No one can tell you. It depends on what chip it used and difference sticks will have yield different results. At least state what chipset it used.

Its not about the frequency we're running on, its more on how much vdimm we applied to the RAM.

Memtest windows version you mean? Well, you will need to run two of it since you have more than 1GB of RAM. When you want to start the test, it will pop up a windows, stating the amount of RAM you can put. Just key in the value for both and starts running.

Direct air contact with chipsets is better than with heatspeader on. Thermal tape is not a good conductor of heat. Also most heatspeader are aluminium instead of copper.

QUOTE(emilz @ May 16 2007, 04:13 PM) DFI Infinity P965-S DarkQUOTE(HaHaNoCluE @ May 16 2007, 05:40 PM) wah.... rlhc17, is it memtest stable onot??? The more RAMs you plug into the system, higher chance of instability will occur. Not to mention you are having two different RAM density in your system, 1Gb and 512MB, high chance it will be unstable, as RAM has to be synchronized.i got a problem here... i can't mix my rams (2x 1gb team vr & 2 x 512mb kingston hyper-x) on my mobo... i can run them in pair independently (means 2 x hyper-x n 2 x team vr seperately) at more than 400mhz (800mhz effetively) with same vdimm, same timing, same every other setting... but when i have all 4 rams running, they boot into windows but fail most of the softwares... n they oso run much slower... any idea??? currently running at 400fsb x 9 with team vr... stable... i thought it was bios problem but some other users at abit forum confirm the new bios (same as the one i'm using) is ok to work all 4 dimm slots... now me oso blur... is it i can't rojak my rams??? My current P5N-E SLI is not too good. RAM slots not stable. Maybe my Windows not good. Have to get sometime to reformat my Windows and see how it goes. That's also one reason why I change mobo. Haha. It's still pending.

Its not about the instability of compability. I RMA-ed the board once, before RMA, the board is rock stable with overclocked settings, but two pins got torned, so I send for RMA. After getting back, the RAM slots aren't stable, even with the same setting as before. I get BSOD right away on the 1st black ram slot even with one ram plugged and no overclocked settings at all. The board itself is quite faulty.
