QUOTE(phunkydude @ May 22 2008, 08:09 AM) hmm, cannot means it'll not stable ka? read anandtech review on rampage formulabtw, to test trd is by using those cpu stress test or memtest? thnx. - ![]() here's wat i got from everest, in bios, i set mem timing to 4-4-4-12 & trd=6. other subtimings, all on auto. tried 420fsb 4:5 trd=7 (or 6, if i got it wrong)... can't boot though. they dedicated nearly 4-5 pages on this.. |

QUOTE(phunkydude @ May 23 2008, 03:01 AM) that's weird. show me memset..from the anandt, counted the formula, 2>2 ? , should be = no. which should results in either won't Post/operate. heck, i ran stress test and folding straight till now.. seems no issue eh? [attachmentid=477717] me no trust everest.. but ure scores are similar to tRD 7 for DFI X48.. tRD 6 would be hitting 8-8.1k.. on 3.2 This post has been edited by cstkl1: May 23 2008, 04:05 AM |

hmm thats a first i have seen
whats the strap btw?? 333/667?? nah nothing to do with multi nah the difference with G33/P35 vs x38/x48 is about the same.. neglible.. infact overclocking on 4 dimm slots is easier on the p35's even on 8gb's This post has been edited by cstkl1: May 24 2008, 03:20 AM |

QUOTE(phunkydude @ May 27 2008, 09:03 PM) hmm, how to determine the strap ah? afaik, dfi bios got options for manual selections on several straps in the menu eh? i think i don't have it in my bios, and also dunno where the strap change for my mobo. QUOTE(a1098113 @ Jun 1 2008, 10:03 PM) Team Extreem is guaranteed on their D9GMH chips.. and well strap of chipset can be determined by checking what the max fsb speed is for the board( NON-OC). For example, a P35 runs at 1333Mhz, so using the quad pumped FSB architecture, Intel Adopts, u divide that by 4 so u will get an effective 333Mhz on FSB. Now thats your Strap. For X48s the strap is 400Mhz eh i asked cause since most asus mobos even their p35's now have strap 400 with the new bios update..CSTKL is the man for this so thats y i asked.. currently asus p35/x38/p45/x48 all have strap 400 mobo tested p5k deluxe/maximus/p5q3deluxe p5q deluxe/rampage so was wondering whether did gay gay updated the bios for their boards.. |

QUOTE(Archaven @ Jun 19 2008, 07:15 PM) ok thanks alot a1098113 if u pass memtest..i was wondering what RAM stress tool anyone use? memtest86+? prime95 blend test? OCCT RAM test? hci memtest? i've seen many can achieve high RAM OC. but did it pass memory stress test? i've tried OCCT stress test RAM for 2 hours and it passed certifying it stable but when i ran HCI memtest, it produce error almost instantaneously. i'm currently testing 1000MHz at 4-4-4-8 with 2.3vdimm and hci memtest failed at 450% coverage. usually ure scores are higher for the biostar mobo since its inbuilt all my voltages that are lower than 2.3 i ran memtest86... those that are above i dont.. cause thats insane to do it... but roughly from previous subtimings experience i can guess what will pass and what wouldnt. |

dude the good stuff for 4gbs are almost out of stock and soon eol
already told some of u guys its the PC2-8000 series ocz reaperx PC2-8000 mushkin redlines PC2-8000 geil PC2-8000.. and the king currently is the ocx flex 2 PC2-9200 ( sold out everywhere) heard from channel partners they are going to stop production as the cost of the micron chip is more expensive that pcp that can run PC2-8500 at the same voltage.. but not as overclockable |

dude 4x1gb's are expensive..especially when u want d9gmh's
2x1gb is silly to buy.. cause ure just a pantsy if u do.. vista is the way so its a 4gb clocking scene... ppl want to see 4gb clocks.. whether its 4x1gb or 2x2gb.. cause thats the current need for gaming for us who actually love online gaming for FPS and strategy.. need those 4gb's with vista. ati HD3000 series and HD4000 series is made for vista.. they dont perform that well for xp.. so again i reiterate crucial rams are crap not because of the rams per say we should blame ourselves for living in a malaysia.. the rams are not suitable for our climate for overclocking and 24/7 run. the pcbs are too thin.. and was made that way to save electricity with those low voltages. |

QUOTE(LExus65 @ Jun 26 2008, 03:57 PM) a1098113, 2 gb is definately not enough for vista especially in those FPS and strategy game. In XP u might survive with 2gb but in Vista u need more. so far after i upgrade my platform to vista, average ram utilization is hitting 2.5gb during normal gaming session. I ran riva tuner side by side to monitor the resource utilization. btw, ocx flex 2 PC2-9200 is da king as cstkl mention at the moment..... sadly all runnig out of stock QUOTE(a1098113 @ Jun 26 2008, 04:04 PM) even the 32-bit vista basic? does it need 4GB? as well? Anyways, i do know that vista is a whore with rams.. but.. hmm 2*1Gb is still pretty useful and not as bad as purported by cstkl1... what i am trying to say is that, having 2Gb doesnt mean youre pantsy.. anyways lets get on with the topic... and be more productive dude even on dota if i the game takes like 45mins to 1 hourwill run with out of mem thats how bad 2gb on vista is.. lets not even go to new games.. |
