QUOTE(alowie @ Oct 27 2013, 04:46 PM) I think playing with 2 inverted wingers (Adnan and Kagawa) with Rooney as no 10, RVP upfront (Chica in less important fixture/supersub) and attacking full back in Evra and Rafael/Valencia is best bet at the moment. That sounds really good on paper. The problem is can the players perform on the field? We have virtually the same squad as last season, yet we are struggling badly. I cant understand why. I guess there's more to football than stats on paper.

Yeah, same squad as last season and yet, we struggled this season. Its either we overachieved last season, or we are not performing up to standards right now.
The way I see it, we are 8pts behind the league leaders and have made the worst start since 1989. Adding to the fact that we have a new manager for the first time in 26 years, that has caused a lot of concern among newer fans.
Hopefully, the squad can find their feet soon and get a winning streak going. Only with consistency one can win the league. I may be biased, but I dont think Arsenal can maintain their current form until May.
ps: At one time, we were behind Villa 12pts in December but we still manage to win the league that season.
