4-3-3 please. Keep the ball in deeper midfield and control that area. Give attacking trio space to run or come in to move the ball forward. Keep the ball moving quick in advanced areas.

..well easy for me to say

Ramires tried to draw a foul from Reid. There was contact, and Ramires went down. Whether that was a foul or not is judged by the referee.
Personally, I think it's a soft penalty. It can be easily given outside the box.

We salvaged a point, but that doesn't change how I feel about the performance. Draw or lost, still disappointed on the result. WBA, however deserved more than a point to be honest.

We didn't manage to create many clear cut chances. WBA defended well and kept the shape organized. But we've been saying that about majority of the opponents we faced in the league. Therefore to be title contenders we shouldn't struggle to play against them. The worse part about the match was the fact even after we managed to get the opening goal, we still went behind.

There is a problem in the team; it's not just a matter of form, or team performance. Something has to change.

we have been struggle play against these type of team this season, well organized, defend and playing for draw. but against open and attacking team, we will be better, looks how we play against MC, spur, aston, and UCL team, we have more freedom and movement, cant wait to see how we play against arsenal and liverpool. smile.gif

Exactly, even in CL matches we played more convincingly. It's just that most PL teams will tend to defend more against us, we can't rely on them play openly for us to get points. regularly.

Spurs lose. City lose. Jaw-dropped when I saw soccernet just now.
Arsenal will win the title tongue.gif

Apparently, Krul decided to channel Oliver Kahn today.
And if you thought we had it tough with our bogey teams, think again. laugh.gif

Time for Terry? The former skipper is the man the stats say Hodgson HAS to coax back to England set-up for the World Cup

I'm sure we ALL are aware of the number of passes from Terry (hence the success rate). tongue.gif

on a serious note, I think Terry is the best performing CB in PL defending wise. But his form could be a result of his absence from the England team. So I hope he doesn't go back on international duty. England's loss.

Added on
Btw, after this international break, I feel JM has to change a few things up. Play KDB, play mata, play Azpi(on the right), and play Mikel alongside Rami.

Mikel alongside Rami would be very unlikely..
Lampard if JM fav player for that position..

like it or not, we have to accept Lamps have past his prime..
he can still contribute to the team but not 90mins every game..

if MVG is not injured, i think he maybe can give Lampard more rest..  smile.gif

yup, we miss MVG. Although we never really seen much of him, he was another option in that tricky position.

Forget who's not in the World Cup and who is, forget Ronaldo and his chances of winning the Ballon D'or, forget England National Team's problems, the Premier League is back!

All eyes on Mou to get us back in good shape. We're playing West Ham away. Still we should be prepared to face a hard defending team.

EDIT: Watching press conference Mou botak edi woh

Lukaku scores in Merseyside derby!!
Puts the ball in the back of the net after series of moves after Mignolet saves a powerful freekick from Lukaku.

2nd goal for Lukaku!!!

EDIT: Up to you to believe me or not, but I literally said out loud(refering to Lukaku): "Nail the header, nail the header" prior to the corner kick being taken

anyone can fill me up on why Baines was subbed? thank you =)

sorry mang, missed that part too.

Real gooding match yo. Had its quiet moments, but overall, superb to watch. Lukaku is still improving, very good to see. Still need to make better decision off and on the ball. Barkley was boss, and the Barca kid was good too.

Great win. Most players gave a good performance, glad there was no problem in the goals department. Oscar, Lamps, Hazard, Eto etc did pretty well. thumbup.gif

JM stated he has his first XI in his mind in the pre-match press conference. I think we can get an idea for the team from his lineups so far. You can see what sort of players he wants. You can see how he wants the team to play. However, that leaves the likes of Juan Mata and Willian out of the main picture. Of course, they will get matches to play and they're always options for the manager, but they are too good to be just "options". These are players can be first names on the team sheet in a number of top clubs in Europe. Does Mou have a plan for them?

^Good points there max.
Yes, with Mikel in the team, we are definitely more solid. During possession, our CB tend get the ball a lot. So with Mikel in the team, he can drop deeper and give chance for CB to utilize their possession on the ball to start attacks.

That central midfield area is the one causing some problems in the past. Yesterday's game was an improvement. But bear in mind that it was on WHU, who didn't play particularly well. This tactic also sacrifices attacking personnel, with only Eto and Hazard as direct attacking players. Lamps maybe won't be as effective in fast paced games.

Frankly, I'd be sad if Mata doesn't start tonight.
