did anyone notice sterling keep on ghosting into the area behind cole? if nothing is done, i fear he can make a difference in the 2nd half.. 2-3 times he got there, 1-on-1 with cole but his delivery very poor and no end result..

That's not underhand tactics. In football there are varying legit tactics that determine how your team functions. For instance, you can be either defensive or offensive. Or balanced without committing too defensively or offensively. Underhand tactics are usually unsporting tactics that aims to exploit certain elements of the game in order to gain an upperhand. A common underhand tactic is time wasting. It doesn't determine how your team functions but rather it looks to gain an advantage by running the clock down without really doing anything with the ball. The referee will usually issue a warning and then hand out a card appropriately. Both offensive and defensive team can use this underhand tactic. 

Another example would be what Mourinho did against Ajax when forcing suspensions to reset their bookings. Again completely independent from team tactics and simply looking to gain unsporting advantage. Most teams don't bother with it and just eat the bookings - Di Matteo would have a stronger side against Bayern in CL final had he resorted to similar underhand tactic but i guess he wasn't keen on bending the law of the game.
