Well said. Mou is indeed a very meticulous manager. But still, imo, I dun think he will let our game depend on the referee. He must have a plan or tactic or something. smile.gif
*
its crazy to depend on the ref..because it always 50/50. typical Jose..just blame him for anything..and never his players..hahaha tongue.gif

QUOTE(hfi @ Dec 30 2013, 05:58 PM)
Mourinho's team is notorious for unsporting like behavior. Using excessive force on certain players to shut them down. Time wasting (tho is probably a common underhand tactic these days) and instructing players to earn yellow and red cards to force suspensions and resetting their bookings in knockout stages. This are just the few i can think of.
Clearly you lack the capacity to have mature discussions. So i'm not going to bother with your taunts smile.gif

the way you explain this..look like you are new to football.

QUOTE(chitchat @ Dec 31 2013, 12:18 AM)
That why i said is all down to the ref, i believe most top manager will take note who is going to referee the game. If u gonna get a non english ref like in CL, u not gonna play as aggressive as in BPL. But i am pretty sure, JM or most manager will not tell any of his player to hack ppl down with 2 foot or diving for penalty etc. The problem is that ur team LIV dont play aggressive pressure game does not mean is an underhand tactic, we play by the "book", no ? if is illegal then it will be a yellow or a red card and FA will be reviewing the match and ban OSCAR and ETO. And yes again blame the ref and blame FIFA too, hope they change the rules so player are playing with their hand tight at the back so no shirt pulling in the box will happen too.

And football does not automatically mean must follow LIV ways, ARS ways, BARCA ways or BAYERN ways. That is the beauty of this game where a well execute game plan will win u games even from superior opponent, be it parking the bus, long ball or whatever tactic a manager can think off. Until FIFA change the rules and deem those tactic is illegal, football remain who score more goal than the opponent win. And the main reason PULIS got sack is because not getting the result the club want. You really think STOKE will care what football PULIS play if they are winning trophies ? U can say our defensive style football is boring, but we also can say ur 1 man SUAREZ team when he is not getting the ball is also boring tongue.gif Different ppl different taste. Just like i hate BARCA passing game coz is sleepy to watch and i prefer RM fast counter full of adrenaline.

All i wanna say is, those mention are what football really is. There is no point whining, as it been play around the world like this. I definitely would not be whining a lesser team come parking the bus against us, they play by their strength that give them the best chances to win. The only loser is the one that finish the game without the point. Sure a team can be adventurous and play their normal games against stronger opponent, but if a team that going against BARCA and think they can play their usual way and out pass BARCA then good luck to them. But of course if the team is by the name of BAYERN i have nothing to say.

Lol wtf happened to this thread?

Suddenly I'm reading essays and essays of dissatisfaction towards the way Chelsea plays.

Things won't be this way should Liverpool won the game.

pokwang, just let it go. This classy hfi is clearly still upset (I would too, if I'm a Liverpool fan) and tried to have this, healthy discussion of whatnot about underhand tactics and gladiator moves.

If it's so unsporting enough to EPL/FIFA standards, I'm sure the upper people had it taken care of, while we here just watch the show, one of billions who watch it from TV screen.

Tidur lah.

chelseafc360 Transfer Rumors

QUOTE
Ashley Cole to Real Madrid :

-Ashley Cole has been second-choice at Stamford Bridge this season as Cesar Azpilicueta has excelled at left-back. Although Mourinho is still sure that the veteran will be offered an extension to his current contract, a report by John Richardson in the Express links him with a move to Real Madrid.

Cole would be able to sign a pre-contract with the Spanish side when the transfer window opens, and if he is not guaranteed regular playing time, a reunion with former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti could be on the cards.

Diego Costa in from Atletico Madrid
-Tom Hopkinson of The Mirror reports that Atletico Madrid are willing to let their free-scoring striker move to Stamford Bridge.

Sounds great, right? Chelsea have been struggling to get their strikers to score, and The Telegraph’s Alan Hansen believes that the lack of a world-class striker is the only thing holding them back from winning the Premier League.

However, there is an enormous catch in this potential deal.
Thibaut Courtois to Atletico Madrid
-Thibaut Courtois has been on loan at Atletico Madrid for the last two and a half seasons. In 2012-13 he set a new club record of 820 minutes without conceding a goal in La Liga (per the Daily Mail.) He is 21 years old.

The offer of a straight swap for Deigo Costa may be tempting, but the Blues would be far better off waiting for the summer window to sign a striker rather than risk losing their future shot-stopper.

can..as long as its not a career treathning injury..and if during the medical..the doc say OK..then it should be okay..

Cole, I think he still has it in him. To be honest I want to see Cole end his career and retire in Chelsea.  cry.gif

I would say no for a swap involving Costa and Courtois. Courtois is just 21 while Costa is 25. Plus a goalkeeper has longer careers imo. Not worth the deal. If we can buy Costa alone then it is a good deal.  rclxms.gif
*
yap..we are on the losing side of the swap deal..unless Atletico can give Costa plus cash or throw a few more young prospect..I will say also say No to this one..

damn..talking about Costa..i want coffee ~ !

Inter Milan star Fredy Guarin looks set to join Chelsea

CHELSEA are closing in on a £14 million deal for Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin as manager Jose Mourinho beefs up his squad for a title push.

user posted image

Mourinho has been tracking Guarin for several weeks and Chelsea are ready to table a bid for the 27-year-old Colombian midfielder.

With a heavy schedule ahead, Mourinho wants reinforcements in his midfield positions and has lost the services of Frank Lampard, 35, for at least a fortnight after he suffered a thigh injury in Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool.

Defender Branislav Ivanovic has also been ruled out of tomorrow’s trip to Southampton with a knee injury.

Guarin, a strong-running player who can operate centrally or on either flank, has featured regularly for Inter this season but Chelsea have already begun negotiations with the club and the player’s agents.

Blues striker Demba Ba, out of favour under Mourinho, may move the other way to facilitate the deal – but Chelsea would be reluctant to let the Senegalese go without another forward coming in. Juan Mata, another out-of-favour Chelsea star, is also interesting Inter but Chelsea do not want to sell the skilful Spaniard at the moment unless he forces a move.

And Michael Essien could leave in January, just six months after returning to the club.

The midfield veteran has struggled to break into Mourinho’s team after he was recalled from a year-long loan spell at Real Madridand has not been named in Chelsea' s latest squad for the Champions League.

Should Guarin arrive at Stamford Bridge, Essien, 31, would be pushed even further down the pecking order and his agent, Fabien Piveteau, admitted last night: “It’s true that he could leave Chelsea this winter.

“Several big European clubs playing in the Champions League have made inquiries and it should play out in the next 10 days or so.”

Chelsea announced 50mil loss.
hmm seem like big signing is unlikely.
*
It is £49.4m. minus..£15 mil spent on things that are not under FFP..so it down to £34.4 mil

every club loss cant be more than FFP £37.5 mark..so we already below that.. rclxms.gif despite crashing early in the UCL group stage..we can do better with the figure if we progressed into the last 16.

but overall. revenue increase by 19%. and this figure not yet involve the money from adidas 10 years deal worth £300 mil.

we do better every year..so thumbup.gif on the right track to financial stability, and we dont have any problem with FFP.

1st Winter Transfer for Chelsea...kindda..

TRAORE MOVE COMPLETED

user posted image

Posted on: Tue 31 Dec 2013
Bertrand Traore completed his move to Chelsea today (Wednesday) and immediately sat down with the official website to discuss the transfer.

The 18-year-old agreed to sign a four-and-a-half year contract with the club back in October, and with the opening of the January transfer window, he makes the switch from Association Jeunes Espoirs De Bobo-Dioulasso in his native Burkina Faso.

Traore is a full international having made his debut in September 2011 a few days before his 16th birthday, and he made one substitute appearance at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

An attacking midfielder, Traore was taken as a trialist on Chelsea's tour of Asia in the summer and played a part in all three games, scoring in Malaysia and in Indonesia.

Bertrand, welcome to Chelsea. How happy were you with our trial period during the summer?
'I was very happy. It was a good experience with all the senior players and I learned a lot from them. I was very proud, so it was a dream for me to be there every day and playing games. Of course I was a little bit nervous but after two or three days I was okay.'

Did you feel at home in training?
'On the pitch I was comfortable, I wasn't nervous once I was on the pitch. Jose Mourinho spoke a lot during training and he is one of the best managers, maybe the best in the world. He is a very good person and it is a dream for me to work with him. I can now say I am living a dream.'

Did the squad make you sing an initiation song?
'Yes, I sang a French song, in French!'

How would you describe your style of play?
'I'm an attacking midfielder. I can play in the number 10 position, I can play on the wings and I'm good on the ball. I can shoot well and am strong in a one v one situation, so I can score goals.'

Who are your influences as a player?
'My favourite players are Juan Mata, Mesut Ozil and Eden Hazard. They're very good players and I am trying to be like them. At Chelsea I look to follow the way of some African legends like Didier Drogba, Michael Essien and now Samuel Eto'o.'

You're still young but you're a full international…
'Yes, I played for my country, with my brother, Alain, who plays in the same position. He is the person I followed to be a footballer. I played in the African Cup of Nations which was a good experience, and now I'm not scared of big games. I feel very comfortable.'
