strange pass i would say.

normal build up

-long pass/lob would come from lampard/terry/cahil straight to torres and he is either have to defend to possession with header (high ball usually from defender) or running to catch the ball from lampard and usually long thru pass.
-short pass from amigos to torres are kinda a 1 touch build up to open space for amigos or ramires to run at opponent defender or pass back to lampard to do lob pass again..
-when amigos recieved ball they will run at opponent to cross/win a corner or cut inside to shoot. seldom have a cut back pass for torres.
-cross that usually came from our wing back will not hit any target.
-short thru pass, we never do this the build up.

counter
-----------
we will have more thru pass when counter, yet the pass seldom reach torres,
same here amigos will cut inside to shoot/run at opponent to win a corner/freekick/throwin or pass short to another amigos to run at opponent to win a corner/freekick/throwin
wing back will cross to nobody.
and no cut back pass , except from schurrle sometime.

4-4-2 for mancity is OP, but not sure how will it work for us.
