Don't do A Levels. Do foundation instead. I am telling everyone the same thing.

I'm from Sunway, and I like it here.
Since I never been to Taylor so I can't make any comparison. And Sunway is getting crowded lately, so meh... QUOTE(SnailWithFingers @ Oct 6 2013, 04:48 PM) A-level do have its value though, which is different from Foundation. It depends where TS want to go in future.QUOTE(joesheon @ Oct 6 2013, 05:52 PM) Haha, I chuckled a little. |

QUOTE(SnailWithFingers @ Oct 6 2013, 09:11 PM) Not really. In terms of time saving, as I studying in UTAR for foundations, I've seen a lot had failed and had to extend their semester.Yes, do foundation is actually save time and save money, but this path is usually for students who know what course they are determined to study. If you failed once, the time consume for foundation is almost same with a level. Of course every university has different policy. I can't comment much on other universities. |

I was in Sunway, Sunway's an excellent choice to do your A-Levels. The facilities are awesome, good teachers (for me) and good crowd. You'll do well there with some self-discipline.
Can I recommend KYUEM? Fees are quite expensive at KYUEM though, 50~60k for 2 years coz it's a boarding college in the jungle. |

Agree, Foundation better than A levels unless you want to study in UK university in courses like medicine, engineering or the sciences.

But you won't know a lot of people there, everyone are from different-different courses. Doesn't have the feel of a college. QUOTE(OptimusMaximus @ Oct 7 2013, 05:22 PM) Do you think Sunway is getting pretty crowded lately? Have you been to Sunway before? If you have not visited Sunway before you won't get to see how people from diff courses mingle with each other. The experience of being able to meet people from all walks of life is really unique Then I'd recommend to TS Taylor's. Definitely Taylor's. Good crowd in Sunway? But you won't know a lot of people there, everyone are from different-different courses. Doesn't have the feel of a college. At least Taylor's or MCKL has the feel of a college for pre-u students. Yes Sunway is getting really packed nowadays. During the ACCA / A-level exams you will find no seats available in the library but at other times the situation is still acceptable. IMO Sunway does have a better environment for clubs and societies to grow as there are many events going on all the time like those organized by AIESEC, Model United Nations, Business Society and Toastmasters. Also Sunway is quite generous in allocating funds to these clubs. I think this makes it conducive for students to make friends across different pre-u or even different level of studies. I frequently make friends with CIMP, AUSMAT, MUFY students or even those taking actuarial science / IT deg/ ACCA. I mean the college is definitely busy all the time, but it depends individually what kind of campus life one expect. In terms of teaching quality I believe Sunway is on par with Taylor's. If you have the money can even consider KY / KTJ as they have excellent track record at overseas university placement IINM. I can't comment much on Taylor's as I have only visited Lakeside campus before, however I must say the campus is beautiful |

Take the cheapest course. Even if you're gonna apply to the top uni in the world, they just want you to get all A for whatever you took. Do A-Levels also, one of my friend got asked why she do A-levels when Malaysian supposed to do STPM.

Feels more like a building where u just go for classes in a room....Hi Shyuejer, how r u getting on? I'm getting on quite fine here, incidentally i made friends with Jia Yi who says he knows you. Most are catered for degree students, who also end their classes later. Well that's my opinion. Because not everyone can afford to stay back until late at night. And positions are normally given to degree students I guess, who can be in the club for longer period than us who are only there for 1 1/2 years.Doing quite fine here, AS coming in a week's time tho Haha what a small world.
