guys, any idea exactly when is QX100 gonna arrive M'sian market?
i'm gonna buy myself a nice b'day present, and it's either Z1 first or QX100.

as for Z1, from first thread until today while some of the pic quality are quite good, but i'm not sold enough...it still has the similar quality compared to my cybershot J10 camera, which uses Sony lens and actually i hate that camera very much. it was an impulse buy in 2011 coz i dont have any decent camera left.

or depend on which type of point & shoot camera spec...my old cybershot that has Carl Zeiss lens has sharper pics back in those days if i can remember correctly. just my opinion laa.

i saw your dog photoshot, it was very nice just because you know how to handle the camera. not so for most people who like to point & shoot using auto settings, for example like me

my previous calculation from Amazon price also similar. paling mahal pun at rm1799+ for QX100

Finally bought the Z1 today, purple set at Sony Centre, Plaza Merdeka, Kuching. My first impressions:

- OMG what a beauty! all of these internet review & stock photo never do this phone justice! it has to be seen by real naked eyes & physically hold the unit to appreciated it!
- it doesn't weight as heavy as i though, evenly distributed among the size, using the keyboard to sms is a lot better now on 5inch screen coming from the Ray, in fact it still cant be hold comfortably in 1 hand for daily operations.
- wish camera & power button could be bigger.
- music playback with internal speaker not as loud as ZR even though ZR is much higher waterproof rating...sound quality better than Tablet Z (based on my recent Sony gadget purchased). i believe ring/call sound is satisfactory.
- decent camera only feel warm quite fast after few shots.
- NO yellow tint detected! screen is normal with a little on the warmer side just like Tablet Z quality. easy on the eyes.
- washout display? i dont think it's that much of a problem anyway....too exaggerated by some people. i dont know if they always look at their phone tilted at 10-15 degrees angle. whatever floats your boat...

what's next?
- after i got connected there's an update already LOL but i dont do it yet, still taking my time to read the 1st page on what should i do.
- root the phone!
- this would be my 2nd phone for whatsapp & facebook on the go as i plan to get Maxis sim for it. currently using it wireless.
- act as camera first, phone later

I got a big box with dock bundled. other offers are 8GB memory card, back cover & lousy front sp, bought the Sony powerbank 3500mah for 89 PWP. Asked whether cradle for Tablet Z is in stock but seems like the product never existed....c'mon i've been waiting for months!

count me in! i try to cannibalized my dock but the cable wont stick when using casing. now that the dock is unusable because i have a hard time to align the cable back into it's place, it always dislodge.

susah coz the scared i break the back part of dock where the wire connects to the plug

yes i can stream them..but lagging laa. my choice of music tak byk but dont know if download offline need to pay, belum try lagi...

nope, mine sealed as a virgin & perfectly bersih from anything until i asked for the staff to demo in front of me.

3rd day of using, loving the battery performance! left 9% this morning before charging.

i sucked at photography...i think this is only my best shot yesterday all on auto.

oh sorry missed out that part. no i'm not showing off...this is obviously Z1 thread & i dont see anything anything showing off over here (this is stock phone with stock ROM) i'm just reporting my usage as a new owner.

screen on time (where to see this?)
3g on daytime, wifi on night time (screenshot during wifi time)
screen brightness 50%

what else that i missed? primary usage of course photo taking & facebooking. no music/video play, no games installed yet.

my Akazoo is preinstalled already when i bought it

the search function is kinda hard & for my preferred taste in music, only lagu lama saja in stock...also very limited

wah good for you! i asked the guidebook but the staff said no guidebook for customers, only for outlet keeping/in-house magazine
maybe it's only applicable for you all over there.

same, i bought from ebay too...cheap but kena sabar la wait for 3-4 weeks for arrival

where can i found Akazoo music downloaded offline?

Yes Mr Benny, seeing is believing for Z1 though...it MUST be seen & hold personally to appreciate this phone.
Crazy price? yeah and i paid RRP for it, plus some freebies & also bought the 35mah powerbank at rm89...but then again the sony store staff was really helpful i have no regrets paying for their service & hospitality alone

oh there's an update in PCC, but i'm not doing it yet....i haven't root my phone too LOL. still waiting & reading all of your comments here before doing anything i may regret later
