yea.. there is one software/program invented by APIIT students
it is still under testing but it is being used in a few big carparks in KL
APIIT themselves are also using it...
maybe u could call them and ask about it

the image is too small to be view clearly. If u resize this image, it will only become pixelated or blur

there is no magical software to zoom in a small image and make it clear.

it only happen in movie.

hmmm... well I guess there IS a software to do this... but I don't have any info of it..... remember the bombing terror in England? they manipulated the handphone photo and made it clear enough to see the face... mellow.gif

Like u said....they manipulate the pic....
Which means the program will try to reconstruct the magnified pic with similar pixel colour..
Its not very accurate....

And i do think it does happen on TV only...

Dont watch too much CSI, its misleading. Theres no such software that are capable of doing it, exspecially with that small photo.

i think someone maybe can do it... recognition software especially for CCTV does not only depends on one still picture but it uses combination of several still pictures of certain image (plate number) to reconstruc the "missing picture". Because CCTV system capture app. 1-5 picture per second.
I have read in National Discovery magazine which disscuss on this related topic. But there is still problem with the software, such missconstruc I to L, 3 to 8, C to O and so on...

i don't think it is possible given the small and poor quality of the source picture.

well, with the 2 image he supply, definately can not do it.

talking about all the "high tech" software to reconstruct the image and made it clearer, you will need extra info/images. It is not just a single magic button to click and make it clear.

what you see on TV is usually satelite image, and satellite can zoom in to view clearer. not reconstruct small and blur image out of nothing.

yes, i agree with that. but, if the software only supplied with that two pictures given, i dont think it can detect the number. It must have more than 10 pics(i think).
