Changed to HD7870 2 days ago, the game runs smoothly after changed. No lag at all during fate fight, mounting, or running in big city. From standard to max graphic setting.

After shut down pc and play ff14 again on the next day. The serious lag is returned. FPS in the city from below 10-20+ up n down when i m moving..
Changed my graphic card to optimized performance on Catalyst center already, and my CC + driver are latest version too.

Anything i can do to fix? Its annoying.

Same things happened in my GTX 560TI ,have to install the graphic card driver every time after I shut down computer else the fps will drop to 10 whenever .I start playing

Anyway i can't try now after restart pc....my account kena error 3102 now...i think i got hacked as well because i saw 2 additional chars created in other worlds with random names...

If u r able to run the client. Turn off hdr and observe how the game goes.

hmm yea its weird coz if change the graphic setting n the fps are the same. See if still have the chance to try or not. not sure how long will they take to clear my account termination. sien

Finally got another account to test. Mine also same, confirmed have to reinstall driver to make it smooth before i play...

what catalyst version you running/

im 13.4 , but older 6950 GPU also facing same problems sometimes

you using 6950 too? mine also 6950, latest driver. Seems also FPS drop and unstable.

my catalyst driver is 13.6 though

stable when nobody on screen, bad when alot people

i do get about 20-60 FPS (which is a very big variance)

mine is 13.9 latest catalyst. Once i restart pc then its lag. have to uninstall driver or whole catalyst control center n reinstall only run smooth. very annoying

I'm on 7870. No lag issues after update latest drivers. Don't have to keep installing drivers after restart either.
