6.5" midbass driver can have subwoofer kinda bass, why not?
Try compare with PC speaker. You see those subwoofer, the sub driver is just 6.5" and exactly same as our car component set. Why such speaker can vibrate ur balls but not the 6.5" mid driver in your car??
The key is speaker enclosure, in other word speaker casing/box.
Objective: Make ur door become solid.
Solution, sound deadening.
nope.
davidke20 ady pointed for the most part.
subwoofer bass is low frequency bass and it's even called LFE (low frequency effect) for a reason.
also PC speaker and car speakers are very different. you can use a car speaker on your table and vice versa PC speaker in car if you know how to power/wire it properly and you'll know exactly on the differences.
In general, it's the phasing/frequency response

also, most pc speaker woofer that do vibrate your balls (or go through the length to get THX certified) are commonly 8"-10" and above.
what's the general active sub sizes for car speakers? that's right - 8"
what you said is not wrong either, however it's not as simple as you put it to be
