Nice thread. Wanna ask u guys here why my pomeranian the fur is not so pom-ed , its 4 years old and the fur is like "little Pixie". I mean the mane is small compared to other pomeranian. I post pic later.

Any suggestion to make the fur longer and more Pom.

Ok thanks.

Here's my daughter's pic by the way happy.gif . Her nose is getting longer, she likes to stuff her whole nose area out of the cage.

Would you guys/gals here know how to let the pom mate?

I have a 5yrs old female pom and a 5 yrs old male shih tzu, is it possible to mate and produce offspring? because everytime i see the shih tzu bang my female pom, he didnt manage to do it properly as the female pom's butt fur is too thick. Anyway to help them?

they can make offsprings... bt please try to avoid that to happened..
As you need to be responsible to the puppies,
only breed if there are demand for it...
if not no ppl willing to adopt them will be a burden to u and the puppies.
please think twice be4 let ur dogs breed. smile.gif

Is that shampoo reliable? I m using Purina shampoo for my pom, its recommended by Pet shop.

I didn't feed my pom any fish oil and etc. I only feed her dog biscuit( Nutro Choice Lamb & Rice Mini). Every week i will buy those meat stick for the pom and the shi tzu. They prefer meat over biscuit hehe.

this shampoo is reliable, as imported from US.
and most of the US pet's product quality is controlled.

there are many kinds of products, so we can't say which is the best.
is just depends on which one is more suitable for our pets. smile.gif

i only feed my dogs jerhigh, haha!
but now jerhigh more mahal liao.... sweat.gif

Ya the meat i buy for my pet is JerHigh too. They go crazy for jerhigh whether its meat stick or other types of meat lol.

dear sifu's ...

i really need some advice here....

one of my mutt is really picky on his food, i tried switch many type of brand edi and usually he'll just take a bite or two then sneeze and walk away ... brand tried - acana puppy, orijen puppy, natural balance ultra premium, addiction kangaroo&apple, addiction raw rehydrate...  doh.gif

This is getting real annoying as he's obviously losing weight instead of gaining like his mate.

Try nutro lamb & rice. If it don't work, just feed it jerhigh , no way your dog won't like it drool.gif

my male pom is now 3 months old and he losing hair till almost bald everywhere? is it normal?

i read most website they will shed their fur when around 5-7 months but none said it will shed till almost bald...
*
You didn't care for it enough, thats why.

When it start to shed their fur, you must comb it off, when you comb it, u will find out that there is lots and lots of hair that's actually fallen out from their body but it just hang there.

Comb the fur residue off completely, maybe around 10 stroke, then give your POM A BATH please.

Nice, clean bath, then blow dry her/him. Most probably he/she will shake terribly coz it lost lots and lots and lots of its precious and sexy fur.
It can't adapt well to the new temperature around it.

Try to care for your pom and put a blanket or a cloth to cover it when it sleep if he/she shivers.

Put some sugar in their drinking bottle or water source to help it regain their fur back quickly, the sugar content will speed up its fur regeneration.

If its still badly, maybe ur pom got lots and lots and lots and lots of evil flea. That means you didn't put lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of care towards it. Better donate your pom if you don't give a duh-Am about it.

Hello people, new Pomeranian owner report in  rclxms.gif

[attachmentid=1858325]

Kingsley, it his name  smile.gif 5 months old
he is in shedding period

[attachmentid=1858327]

New hairstyle after grooming  tongue.gif

[attachmentid=1858329]

he keep barking once we leave the house.. and is very loud and sharp.. any solution??  rclxub.gif
*
The barking means it cares for you. Without ur presence it felt lonely and scared.

When ur back to ur home or about reaching ur doorstep or doorway, it might pick up your keychain sound or car alarm sound and will bark loud too.

At least ur pet recognize u as the owner and it barks to acknowlege ur existence.

my pom now got back almost all of his furs. its just a normal shedding. just my paranoia.

anyway you may think i dont give a dam for my pom but i care bout my pets more than anyone. my family have kept german shepherd, rottweiler, mix breed hush puppy and a few stray dogs for the pass 35 years. all died of old age except one got shot by mpk. and all except my rottweiler is rescued pets.

anyway, i do admit my pom is much more harder to taken care of compare to my previous pets. but then nothing is harder than seeing them fall sick.

thanks for your advices anyway.  good to know there's ppl who still spend their time to reply me.

Good to know ur family have kept so many pet. Its good u manage to care for them for so many years, i take back some of the nasty thing i said hehehe.

smile.gif , pom is troublesome but worth the effort
