QUOTE(proleepg @ Oct 6 2009, 10:38 PM) Ok. At least I have somebody familiar here. I am still learning. Wow, you are so knowledgeable now. Knowing so much abt poms. Will find a day to visit you and have a look at your poms. Is it ok? Sure... but I shaved some of my Pommies anyway... My mum complaining hard to take care all of them. QUOTE(nicotine @ Oct 7 2009, 01:50 AM) bro, golden looks promising is it double coated ? btw guys, how to differentiate single and double coat pup huh ? please share ya 2 cents thanks ![]() This I assumed it as single coated Pom... As you can see the coat is dropping, not fluffy, not standing up. Some people argue that it been crossed with Spitz or Chihuahua. Actually you can't really tell when they are young... You can start to realise when they are into uglies period... Then you will see they normally shed all their coat. For double coated Pom normally won't shed their under coat during uglies period... QUOTE(ChiewShen @ Oct 28 2009, 08:42 PM) yaya.wayne is right.. I am sorry for that. Added on October 28, 2009, 10:28 pmAttention all dog lovers, I'd like to advice all of you not to go to this particular veterinary at Medan Angasana. Here is what happens. My dog has hernia and surgery is needed to fix it. And from recommendation of some casual accquaintance & from forums, they said that Angsana is cheap. I agree that the fees charged were cheap but the attitude from the vet is unacceptable. It's obvious that the vet is rude, bad tempered & not an animal lover. I think that it's natural that dogs tend to moves around during examination. My dog moves around when the vet was trying to shave it's fur, he says to my dog 'Please lar, don't move around!' in an unpleasant tone (as if my dog could understand that). He also INSTRUCT me to hold my dog in a rude manner (not ask). I wouldn't mind helping if he had ask me politely. It's obvious that the vet does not have adequate staff to help him out on the surgery. After surgery, the vet DID NOT prescribe any kind of painkiller & ointment for my dog. Once back home on the same day, my dog dare not move at all because it pains him whenever he moves and it also pains me seeing my dog suffer. For one whole day my dog has not pass motion or even urinate. The next day, I called up the vet and ask will it be possible to give my dog any painkiller and his answer was "I do not trust painkiller and I've never given painkiller to any other dogs I've done surgery on before. They would be okay the day after." Personallly, I think it's inhumane to let the dog suffer from pains after surgery and I resort to bring my dog to another vet for prescription of painkiller & ointment. This is a really bad experience for me & my dog. Whether you still wanted to patronize to this particular clinic is your choice. But I'm sure that I'll never ever go back to that vet again. You should have at least send your dogs to Peng Aun, Gill or Pava. I trust only 3 of them. They are good. Some people claimed that Peng Aun is not good, but he is very good with all my dogs. I send all my Pommies there for vaccination. I will send my dogs to Gill or Pava only they have serious surgery needed etc. Anyway... You should wait until Jeremy see this. Last time he also keep on complaining about the Angsana. QUOTE(dp82 @ Oct 29 2009, 10:54 AM) Thanks the info ChiewShen. I wont send my dog to there no matter how. Those vet r not pet lover & they probably just wana earn $ that's all. Hi, I do all my grooming myself. Wayne, when u send ur pom for grooming what kind of style ur ask the groomer to cut 4 ur pom? There was once i asked the groomer to cut her hair like furball, c c turn out to be botak & wif lots of hair at the tail only LOL I am not a professional groomer but I go Thailand and learn Pom grooming... So I can only groom Pom. Haha! If you go for grooming... you can ask to cut nail short and trim teddy bear cut. They understand how a Pom should look like... Anyway, where you from? In Pg got one groomer do all my dog grooming if I am lazy to do so. Hahaha! |

QUOTE(jesskun @ Feb 9 2010, 02:42 PM) haha.. nice pom?? in IKANO selling RM1999 is consider super cheap..n the pom do looks pretty..is cream n white color.. I assumed most of the Pomeranian puppies look pretty when they are young.at penang, selling RM1200 is mini pom or mixed-big pom? But Poms do have uglies period... This is how the nightmare start. I bought a 'so call' Pom from a breeder near Kepong... The puppy looks really nice when she is young... and when uglies period come... She shed. Every Pom shed but she shed her undercoat and made her coat flat and then the long muzzle started to show. I felt so angry because conned by him. After I did some research then I knew Pomeranian originally evolved from Spitz. So now you can see those long muzzle Pom also with MKA is because they are not fully evolve yet and they are not the modern yet up to date Pom. I hope you guys could understand what's happened on the Pom history.
