hi kevin...well when she pee somewhere else u can try and wipe a bit of pee on the newspaper so that it will smell like her pee there..then it would encourage her to pee there....
then when she does do her business there...praise her a lot a lot by giving her treats and say her gd gurl la those things la...then slowly repeat this over and over...then she will get it soon la.. |

I am thinking of having a pom as my 2nd dog.
But I know that poms aften produces alot of these shrill yapping barks. Do you guys encounter this problem and what did you do to curb this behaviour? |

My pom barks only when she's excited or if she sees other dogs outside. When any of us shouts no, she'll automatically keep quiet one.

Any thing you want to highlight me during the time. Please let me know what should i need to take note. this week ? my pup is about 7 months old now by the way..hmm i might be bringing my pom down at week 15-16 of mmu sem , i think thats too late for u to c right? hmm maybe u google on how to check the quality , or how to choose a pet, also bring ur frens or family to help to see la. as for me , first thing i check is whether he/she got get too too nervous or not when carry him/her, then check got any hidden disease... skin , eye , underpaw , bla bla. compare the look with a real authentic pom u c in internet lo. got cert? how much u are being offered? but all in all whether or not it is pedigree , it doesnt matter , just a matter of whether the puppy is apple to ur eye or not when u choose lo. but of coz if its not pedigree, then price must be relevant to this fact , haha. if got any news let us know! Best regards Kelvin tan |

QUOTE(angelgurl_nee @ Sep 2 2007, 01:31 AM) but i think it was discussed b4 in other threads that our furkids may tend to shed when they would adapt to our weather right?? Fisrtly, it is nothing if your Pom is staying outside...But definately will be better if staying inside air-cond room... and like say if we close our furkids in an air conditioned room then their fur would be thicker for them to keep themselves warm right? But after i bought 3 Pommies dee... I realised that... Don't buy Pom if you didnt see the parents... For me laa...Pom divided into 2 types: Fur standing Pom~as the picture shown the Pom is full of the fur...Double Coated... Fur falling Pom~one of my Pom is like that...the fur is like Chihuahua...it is not fluffy... So...Better if buy a Pom from Homebreeder...So that you could have a look at the parents... QUOTE(jaspery27 @ Sep 2 2007, 11:53 PM) hi mind to tell me where the pet shop? The average size of the Pomeranian is from 3 to 7 pounds, with the ideal weight for the show specimen being 4 to 6 pounds. Any dog over or under the limits is objectionable. However, overall quality is to be favored over size. The distance from the point of shoulder to the point of buttocks is slightly shorter than from the highest point of the withers to the ground. the distance from the brisket to the ground is half the height at the withers. He is medium-boned, and the length of his legs is in proportion to a well-balanced frame. When examined, he feels sturdy.QUOTE(nicwise @ Sep 12 2007, 05:22 PM) I am thinking of having a pom as my 2nd dog. Honestly, Pom bark more than others... But depends also... Some Pom is quiet but definately all Pom are hyper... But I know that poms aften produces alot of these shrill yapping barks.
