Hello,

Does anyone know of any reputable Pom breeders based in KL who sells these puppies?
I'm looking to get one, but doesn't know where to start.
I would appreciate if anyone could shed some light on this.
Thanks. smile.gif

Some Q&A for people who often ask the show or reputable breeder:

Why so much? I saw poms for sale in other places are cheaper.

Well, we do not force anyone to buy their dogs from us. We personally cannot afford to place them for so little as we have more invested into them by the time they leave. In order to keep a breeding program, we have to care for several dogs. We feed premium quality dog food, microchip, register, vaccinate all of our dogs. We also must have dentals done and provide adequate vet care. Because we breed for show quality and to a higher standard, we also often send our females out of breeding, pay high stud fees, shipping expenses and often times, expensive after hours c-sections. Breeding to the standard also means that we do not find the largest female that we can find so that we can produce large litters. We often have litters of only 1 baby born by csections. In order to even out some of these expenses, we simply cannot place our pets for that kind of price. Breeding poms can be very heartbreaking and with so many complications, pom breeders experience a lot of losses.

I can't afford to pay more, but i would make a super good home.

While owning a pom does not require being rich, we feel that it does require some stability. Poms are very small dogs and even in the best hands, can get injured. We feel that a pom owner should have enough financial stability to cover the cost of a broken leg, which can cost quite some amount. It is not the ability to love and care for the dogs on a day to day basis that we doubt, but we put so much into our dogs that we want the best care for them.

Hi Wayne,

Thanks for providing the list of breeders in KL. smile.gif
Although I need to ask, do these breeders only sell show quality pomeranians?
I don't plan to participate in any dog show competitions, so I'm looking for regular, "pet-quality" Poms.

On a side note, I realised that you have listed your own kennel on that list which prompts me to ask, do you have Pom puppies for sale at the moment? tongue.gif

Need an advice everyone icon_question.gif I just got myself a White Pom 2 months old. And he's tearing alot causing brown stains under his eye. I have been wiping the stain with a dry clothes and I realized that 1 part of the damp area is even losing hair. Any thing I can get to treat it? Or bringing to groomers/vet would be good? Is the hair loss normal?

usually white coated dogs and other light colours are more prone to have noticible staining coz of the light colour of their coat.... many factors influence this staining for eg genes, diet, hygiene, emotions, red yeast....

for genes, you cant do much about it that the puppy will tend to stain more easily

as for diet, what brand of food are you feeding your puppy now? try choosing a more hollistic premium brand or switch to barf diet if capable to

for hygiene, you need to make sure that your puppy's place is clean, no irritants such as dust, dirt, rusty metal etc. you can buy a whitening powder to apply near the stain area to dry up the fur there after wiping excess dampness. and make sure your puppy's ear canal is clean of wax and hair as this can irritate the puppy also

for emotions, try to keep your puppy as happy as possible, this will minimise the puppy's tendency to cry

and for red yeast, it is a type of yeast that is within the puppy's body system which will cause the red colour stain. for this, you may try Health n Shine http://www.healthnshine.com/ to see if it helps to improve your puppy's tear stain problem along with taking care of its hygiene, diet and emotions.... smile.gif i personally didnt try it as i never encountered this problem so far but i heard good testimonies from it.... but you MUST feed everyday without miss....

hope this helps abit....

For ur info, there isn't any breeder that can produce show quality dogs for all their breedings.
So, u can try to contact them to find out more.

Besides the provided breeder, u can try to go Desa Park on Sunday. I know a breeder who always bring his dogs for walk on every Sunday. U can easily spot him, a guy who wears cape and is surrounded by two poms.

True from Yuen. Not every pup that bred by show breeder are show dog.
You may contact all of them to check with them if they have any pups.

The Desa Park City guy is a Pom breeder named Yee.
You can check him out too if you want. He occassionally has puppies for sale. smile.gif

Yup, that uncle is called Uncle Yee. I knew him personally after meeting him few times in the park with his dogs.
If I am not wrong (since I have not met him for few weeks), he does have few for sale. All are parti-coloured dogs.

Hi Wayne. Thanks for your recommendation to my kennel.
To add a bit of my opinion to new pomeranians owners to be:-
i)Try to buy your puppy from breeders who really loved their dogs - give them good food; good environment; good care and loves.
So, make sure you visit their kennel to make sure this before you decide to buy one.
- from the conversation with the breeder, you will know whether he/she is sincere and honest.
- buy from breeder who will teach you how to take care of your puppy; the dos and don'ts; the quality of the puppies
and not the one who only wants to sell their puppies.
- have a look at the puppy's parents and the other pomeraniens at the kennel, you will know their poms quality.
ii)If possible, try to buy from a breeder cum exhibitors. You can find show quality puppies and also those that was not selected
for show 'cos not every puppies from a litter are of show quality. In this case, you can get a cheaper price but of quite good quality puppy.
iii) All puppies look cute and attractive. Enquire from the breeder what is the prospect of the future of the puppy. Will they become oversize;
changed to single coated? Any previous dog of the same parent that's kept by the breeder to be your reference.
iv)It's not as simple as champion + champion = champions. Except those of high reputation and experienced breeders(normally they are
show exhibitors) who spend their time and hard works and of course a lot of money spent, to be able to produce champions.
v)You may have to pay a bit higher but you won't regret when your cutie puppy grew up to handsome/beautiful adults rather than
you buy cheaper a bit now but when they grew up, you find them not up to your expectations - even as a pet.
(However, if you have one like this, PLEASE don't neglect them. Love them and take good care of them.Whether 'ugly' or beautiful,
they still love you.) Tq.

Hi Vin, at the moment I don't have any puppies available. Sorry.
Some of the previous breeding been placed to oversea show home and I kept some to carry on with my future breeding.
However, I have a male that I intended to keep for show but he has major fraud for show hence I want to place him to a pet home. (Spayed contract is required)
Let me know if you interested, hereby attached with the photo of him.
