*

Which brand you gonna go? Sony and HTC seems same can void your warranty once unlocked the bootloader and root. LG is going implement same thing like Samsung Knox soon as well.

I find Samsung did this time is actually do one level for it own protection like others manufacture did long ago.

Actually frank speaking, consumer shall take some responsibility once root the phone, it is basically same as Apple jailbreak. Doing such means you making more risk on it than it suppose. This is just my opinion, you want full warranty cover, 1st hand you shall not playing on rooting/jailbreaking.

you maybe true to some point
but without root means no more fun for me
most of the app i'm using are require root to function properly

QUOTE(emy_xvidia @ Oct 9 2013, 06:29 PM)
kinda disappointed too with the Knox thingy. the inability to reset it makes me hesitates to root it this time. if every future Samsung devices has Knox, then ya, no fun with Samsung already.

They should've released a model with Knox instead of making every of their new devices has it. Not everyone needs extra security/private space on hp. Should've been an option to us consumers. My opinion la.

this would only be in the dream only i think?

The rooting flashaholics in the world is only a minute few % in total. If we all boycott Samsung devices i don't think it would made any diff to their sales. We are not the favored ones. cry.gif
*
yeah that's true also
sometime we root not because of flasholics
but just to make sure the device work better to our needs

Last time root is a must for me, but now, it seems not really important already.

Custom ROM like CM,AOKP,AOSP,Paranoid no longer in my list, using them like taking back last year phone.

Now I only need root for ad removal apps and Xpose framework. Others than that, root really seems serve nothing for me already.
*
yea true root mainly for me is to restrick some certain app to access mobile networka and ad removal

I think better wait for designgears version. He already done it for exynos version and currently testing snapdragon one. At least I trust this guy alot more.

yea

but i look at on of the comment

THANKS, it worked well for me.
I didn't expect this being so simple. You even keep your settings and apps because there is no need to perform a factory reset.
Even SELinux status is still "Enforcing" after flashing this image.
Of course the device knows there was a change:
- SYSTEM STATUS: changes from "Official" to "Custom"
- KNOX WARRANTY VOID: changes from "0x0" to "0x1"
But "REACTIVATION LOCK" is still "OFF" and "KNOX KERNEL LOCK" is still "0x0" smile.gif

At first I wanted black, then I saw white also kinda pretty and wanted white instead to match my Note II.
Who knows when I bought mine that time, white is too limited and I settled for black. laugh.gif

Still not too bad la. At least I get to match it with SGP Hybrid Neo yellow colour, my phone will look like a bumblebee. laugh.gif
*
lol bumblebee
later transform to car and drive away icon_question.gif
