Not for now, hopefully Samsung will release fixes through its firmware update.
Anyway, the heat is bearable for me. So, not much an issue.
For such a fast phone, I think the heat is unavoidable.

yeah.. hopefully a firmware update will fix this. sad.gif

was kind of disappointed because Xperia S heats up like crazy and restarts itself when it reaches the limit. then i bought a note 2 and no more such problem. such joy!!!

and i came back to such a problem in note 3. sad.gif
maybe it's just me but it's so hot that my hands are actually sweating. that's why i'm a bit worried.

LOL assuming light heat = defect? find me a processor that does not produce heat plz

what i am saying is that you are trying to mock me just because i brought up the overheating issue. i have no idea if it is only me experiencing this or everyone is having the same problem. and i am trying to get an answer here. but you didn't even give me any advice and shoot me with "little heat won't burn your hands" wtf? so basically you're just asking me to shut up and don't ask any questions, just accept everything the phone comes with.

people like you is why i left this forum last year. i came back and face the same kind of people here again. so disappointing.

What temperature are you seeing. Hot is subjective.
On just browsing say an hour on 3g my average is 35 to 38 degree c just warm n not hot I deem
If it exceed 45 than you start to worry about potential motherboard problem

okay! thanks for the advice. i will download a battery monitor and see what happens!
by the way, do you think i should do a hard reset just in case?

ok girl, you think too much and u have a problem of extrapolating what a guy says and making assumptions on what they mean  doh.gif

we get like 2-3 of your questions every single day, and fruitie already told you it is normal, u bising apa lagi, its not gonna burn your hands right? i played games on it till the max and it still doesn't restart. all phones will generate heat when being used, just put on a cover and settle with it
*
no. i am not thinking too much. you are just right out being mean.

i am sorry if i look like i'm being lazy, asking question that people have been asking everyday. i admit i did not search each and every thread or read each and every post but i did do some google search with not much help before coming here. i want to find a solution to a problem. not find an excuse to cover the problem. and i thought this forum is for us to bising about note 3.

if you are not happy to help noobs then sorry for being a nuisance. i guess i can just shut up now since I have already got my answer. thanks for being no help at all.

and to others who have been so faithfully helping each other, sincerely thank you. you know who you are. smile.gif

No need hard reset. Monitor your temperature first. The highest I ever recorded was 45 c n that was only on day one. Anyway nowadays all high specs phone can easily tolerate up to 6th to 70 degree c. What I am saying on browsing alone should not get very hot unless your 3g or wifi is very weak. Only intensive gaming n use of gps than temp of 45 to 55 is common.

About heating. I get system tuner widget display up to 62 degrees C. But it cools down very rapidly. Happens while browsing.

I have done a factory reset and it's still the same.

I have no games on my phone at the moment.

I do believe the cpu can take high temps up to 75 at least but it's not comfortable. At least it was designed to put the cpu right at the top where you don't feel it much.

thanks for the stats! i will monitor it for a few days and see what happens!

I would advise that you take any negative replies in your stride and just carry on posting. This is a public forum after all.
