In fact, the new GPU drivers in stock ROM 4.3 did boost up the graphics performance. My Asphalt 7 used to laggy on 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 but now smooth like butter on 4.3. I don't face any problem with Samsung keyboard so far but wake up to the lock screen is the real pain AND i lost Miracast support

QUOTE(mtxx @ Nov 8 2013, 04:22 PM) Cm10.2 is buggy. Thanks for that....after flashed Yank kernel....lock screen delay seems ok. Now the only thing need to be work out is the Miracast problem.Only cm fanboys and those roms addict willing to flash it. Check out xda thread for cm10.2 nightly. Tons of complain. |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Nov 8 2013, 05:31 PM) Thats apply only for vanilla kit kat though, don't think thats apply for Samsung stock ROM. Samsung usually will put in some trash to consume more memory compare to vanilla ROM. Thats my personal thought |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Nov 8 2013, 05:45 PM) ya I know, let see how it goes Actually I'm quite impressed by the iPhone 5s with iOS7, it performs like butter liquid especially touch responsive that i ever seen from any of flagship now. Even Samsung Note 3 will be having lag problem after few weeks of usage that claim by some owner. but normally I know 4.3 is the last update for s3 so next year change phone |

QUOTE(nokia6280 @ Nov 11 2013, 02:53 PM) Performance? Can try to get reading from antutu? No need to root right, cause I didn't see the developer mentioning it. No performance different between Yank and this....and it should not require to be root. To me benchmarking it just a figure shown it doesn't have noticeable performance boost for normal usage. I don't have it install |

QUOTE(MPIK @ Nov 19 2013, 12:53 AM) I swear S3 will be my last Samseng phone. That is why I already ordered my Nexus 5, no more Samsung flagship phone for me. Been support Samsung from Galaxy S, SII and SIII and believe that they could really evolve to be a strong software oriented company, to be the fastest phone that get Android OS update, to be the most responsiveness Android phone ever but Samsung keep on disappoint me Even HOX already updated to 4.2.2 and planning to 4.3 S3 still stuck at official 4.1.2 until now. By the way, do you guys notice that the new gallery (in 4.3) usually took 3-4 seconds to open up? What a crap software... |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Nov 19 2013, 01:24 PM) nexus series lack of sd card Now become less concern for most of the user already (I'm one of them don't have extra feature like other phone lol When I suffer from the freaking laggy phone that cause by the *extra feature* being incorporated, I rather go for vanilla OS (Most of the extra feature can be get from Google Play, your choice yet no removable battery Nexus 5 score 8 out of 10 from iFixit which I think it shouldn't be a big problem for the replacement |

QUOTE(nokia6280 @ Nov 19 2013, 04:01 PM) I have been using 4.3 since day 2 released and after flashing china kernel I am satisfied with it so far no issue and smooth but still have bugs here and there. For me dairy use no issue. Ya...I'm also reluctant to go back 4.2.2 although new Gallery damn slow to execute and miracast not work anymore. However still smooth when playing games. |
