Hello S3 pros here!
As most S3 16 GB have an issue called Sudden death, I just bought one assumed as S3 bricked which isn't. As for now I just found out it died of Sudden death, not literally because the power button is being permanently activated. So that's the culprit that puts it in boot loop mode.
My question here is rm100 fair enough for the power button+installation? On ebay without installation its lesser than Rm10 http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Power-Key-Butt...t-/360793968819
I need to know the fair price for the labour charges!

Firstly, since you just bought it then why not claim warranty?
Secondly, Sudden death got nothing to do with power button is MOBO failure.
Thirdly, not most S3 have Sudden Death.
*
It's a used phone. And I'm able to go into recovery.
So I assume the power button I broken as it is thinking it is being pressed all the time so it's stucked in boot loop. Nothing to do with mobo, no?
Did you refer to a video in YouTube? It has already been proven that the power switch is the culprit. I will give it a shot anyways.
Update: Mine not sudden death, my bad! Sorry guys!
Power button fried at most!

Anybody know how to get into download mode without power button? As you guys know my s3 has a broken power button, so I decided to break the power button off and short the terminals to turn it on. So yeah I need a way to get into download mode!

Umm bros. I just upgraded my sister from her galaxy w to s3. Rooted her s3 and installed s4 revolution v11. Restored all her apps through titanium backup.
Questions:
1)why isn't the play store detecting the apps that I have restored? I won't be able to update the apps then..
2) my magazines not installed? How to install it?
I have almost selected all the bloat wares except chaton and screen mirroring

try use other file explorer

I think it's the folder itself full. It is impossible mah if both Root Explorer and Titanium Backup both says insufficient space.

Nvm lol. I don't even care.
I hunted down the bricked phone for her for cheap price. Never said thank you.
I found the cause and opened it up to verify it. Never said thank you.
After it was fixed, help her to install custom rom and cut to micro sim card. Never said thank you.
Install a couple more mods for her, never said thank you.
Screw it right. I don't want to help anymore. lol
