Tried older version, same thing...super high android os (higher than screen)... u'll feels the battery drain like water.
No idea how to lower it...

just flash 4.3 WanamLite Archi v1.7

Hey guys, encountering a strange issue with charging my S3. Typically it's always charged pretty fast, 2-3 hours to reach 100% but recently however, it's started to SOMETIMES, charge really slow. I'm not sure whether it's an issue with the charger itself, whether it can wear out, cause my gf and sister been using it to charge their s3's, or whether it's a battery issue, or something worse.
Today seems to be the worse, i left it to charge at about 3am, it was at 10% charge and when i woke at like 9ish, it was only about 40%!!

So, I tried changing the power socket (trying anything that would make a diff), and it started charging fast again.. up to 80%..then it stopped! and even started discharging eventhough it was still plugged in.

Warranty has run out, so am needing some advice, whether it's a battery problem, or a charger cable/charger problem or just send it back to Samsung. Any insight and advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Oh, and it's discharging unnaturally fast now, gone down from 80 to 70% in 20 mins! Without me doing anything with it.

Am I the only one encounter this issue? I flashed the 4.3 stock rom for s3... but after I lock screen and put it for some period, when I press the start button or home button, no response... keep press but no response... only the notification light keep blinking. Then I need to restart the phone again...

you know that h+ sign on top of the signal icon? that thing went off quite frequently on my slimbean. maybe because of the elementcase that i use because the bezel is made of aluminium. but when i change to stock, it doesn't have any problem at all. right now i'm using 4.2.2 with my old tpu casing, kinda solved the problem i guess.

all 4.2 aosp rom, include cm,aokp,slimbean have high android os in battery status.

some say its error reporting, and battery life is good.
but according to wakelock detector, its real with very high phone awake time.

i posted this in xda slimbean forum. yank replied and tole me its cm10.1 kernel issue affecting all 4.2 roms

he made a fix in his 'yank' kernel. have to register in his forum.
i tested working good on aokp cm and slimbean.

my battery stats currently. android OS is way at the bottom.





the aroma installation is quite overwhelming. way too many options and customization
basically i just leave everything as default, except the max clock speed. (its 1.6GHz by default, too high for me)

Anyone can help? wakelock shows that Alarm manager in fb+whatapps wake up the most , nfc services the next (i didnt on it +force stop dunno how many times d) What is this alarm manager...and my wlan wake x186815 times? ....dunno what the fark is wrong with google, giv all this lousy apps but whats the point when the battery cannot even last half a day,
have already disable auto sync +location ..and basically almost all the apps i have already disable..

i'm back to temasek's rom again.. wanamlite 4.3 is good. but, too many things to consider to maintain the battery life.

did you wipe before flash to 4.3 ?

that was awesome.... i have wifi problem since temasek's v68 until today v71. wifi cause battery drain so high..

edit:

android os is so high. i mistaken seen it as screen. this is my records with temasek's rom. consist of regular uses and heavy uses.

its not multiwindow, its holo, the paranoid android custom notification
