QUOTE(doggydogg @ Nov 8 2013, 12:18 PM) i removed alot samsung bloats d.... hmmmm Wow, yank is such a great dev. now testing yank kernel, so far no hiccup when turning on the screen He helped solved the android OS battery drain in aosp roms. Now his kernel also fix lock screen delay for touch wiz 4.3. Trivia, long ago s2, when leak 4.1 released, it has frozen lock screen issue. More serious than s3 delayed lock screen. The symptom is press power to wake, lock screen not responsive at all. Need lock and unlock again only can swipe to unlock. Jeebo kernel fix it about a month later. |

QUOTE(fouzhi @ Nov 8 2013, 03:13 PM) In fact, the new GPU drivers in stock ROM 4.3 did boost up the graphics performance. My Asphalt 7 used to laggy on 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 but now smooth like butter on 4.3. I don't face any problem with Samsung keyboard so far but wake up to the lock screen is the real pain AND i lost Miracast support Cm10.2 is buggy.I'm still thinking whether to flash it to CM10.2, any one did that? mind to share whether worth to go for it? coz a bit lazy to backup and flash again. Thanks. Only cm fanboys and those roms addict willing to flash it. Check out xda thread for cm10.2 nightly. Tons of complain. |

QUOTE(Dannyl @ Nov 9 2013, 07:34 AM) There are two kinds of gadget users: blind fanboys and neutral users who are open to other devices/platforms. True about the price and screen size of the iPhone. iPhone has a great ecosystem, easy to migrate between devices, relatively more stable, smooth, easy to use. The only drawback to me is the price and screen size, otherwise I might consider one. That's why I got an ipad. The consistent smoothness, beautiful awesome screen and supreme battery life really blew me away. It's miles ahead of any nexus tablet or any android tablet. Those hard core android fanboys will say ios is restricted, tied down to iTunes etc, clearly knows nothing about jailbreak. There are ways to sideload apps and do files transfer without iTunes. |

QUOTE(Arvinaaaaa @ Nov 9 2013, 10:22 PM) guys, finally my warranty for my s3 finish, and i can finally use custom rom, what is the fastest rom out there? i dont mind pure android experience or samsung rom, just want the best and fastest rom out there.. anybody care to share with me and any links for guide to install it? thanks You ask like that u will get all kinds of answers. There really isn't a fastest rom. They are very similar to each other in terms of performance and battery life. No rom is faster than another rom by a large margin. Samsung ROMs, you get all the stock features. All hardware works. With lots of additional customization. FYI, hdmi out don't and never work on aosp ROMs. Aosp ROMs looks more elegant, and refreshing if you are bored with Samsung ones. They offer lots of features. But they are usually not bug free, especially if u are using the latest android version that is still under development. They are the most stable at the end of development. I'm an aosp rom person. But I can see they are getting worst. 4.3 aosp ROMs imo are less stable than 4.2. Now that 4.4 is announced, most devs are going to just slap a 'stable' tag on their last nightly and proceed to develop for 4.4. No matter how people argue that 4.3 Is stable, 4.2 has even less issue. |

Aww man, waiting for the new Google hangouts to release. I wan the version that has sms function. The leak one from nexus 5 will break hangout video call function.
By the way SwiftKey have new version which changes the symbols page layout. Terrible choice, Luckily I can restore with titanium backup. |
