Errr.. got v16 already
CODE http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47624028&postcount=42229 QUOTE V16 (Current Version) md5sum: 50d92e6730605bff302f39296659aa20 Quote: I would recommend you enable RAMBAR so that your RECENTS icon is not cut off at the top right/left. If not pls select the position at the bottom right/left. REVAMPED - Clear recents position - Updated to Omni sources - Now in temasek spare parts -> Omni features Settings: Add cLock settings back to lockscreen settings Revert "CM : Quick settings/Ribbons" Add "Quicksettings customizations Slim style - SlimROM - First thank to CM for the general base idea.....but we changed, fixed a lot as well the UX is not the best on original implementation. It is way to much to list all down what we changed and ehanced and fixed...so just a small overview - Whatever this patch adds following tiles: Airplane mode Battery Bluetooth Brightness Go to sleep Location Torch Lock screen LTE Mobile data Orientation Settings Sound Sync Wi-Fi AP Wi-Fi User switcher Network mode NFC Screen timeout Quiet hours <--- NOT PORTED YET Volume Expanded desktop Music - new nifty one Reboot - and the usual dynamic tiles which are always dynamic now. As well we put all setup options into one screen. Quick Settings Pulldown (from cm) - This is tied with the above QS feature fb: fix qs battery tile on normal icon due of left over - SlimROM - I forgot to commit a change so on icon and icon percentage there was still a margin set. Remove the margin to fix it fb: Make ImageView drawable update more efficient in some cases. - When updating the view's drawable via setImageResource or setImageURI, make sure to skip the layout pass if the old and new drawable have equal sizes. This follows what is already done for setDrawable(). fb: Avoid layout passes when updating data activity indicators. - ImageView can optimize out layout passes if old and new drawable have equal sizes. Take advantage of that by displaying a transparent drawable with the same size as the in/out drawables when there's no activity instead of clearing out the drawable in that case. Fix Duplicate Alarm : Replace Cesium with Classic fb: MiniThumbFile: Fix image/bitmap retrieval - Change I66005dd69b0a5c8f4353bd7a8225d163a654fd2d changed the insertion and creation indexing mechanism, but the retrieval method was still using the old sparse one. Fixit. Rambar moved to top screen fb: vectorize Bitmap operations - Enable gcc vectorizing optimizations for Bitmap operations within libandroid_runtime.so. Adds -ftree-vectorize -mvectorize-with-neon-quad -fprefetch-loop-arrays to functions and compiles Bitmap.cpp in ARM mode (necessary to enable vectorizing optimizations) for appropriate targets. exynos_camera: update sports scene name - markcs - The 'sports' scene mode has been renamed to 'action' scene mode to match the 4.4 camera configuration. spn-conf: add localized carrier spns - when the SIM card doesn't export a SPN, it's pulled from the radio firmware; radio firmware data is often outdated, leading to either wrong text or just the MCC/MNC, especially on hardware that's been "abandoned" by the OEM and white-label carrier-branded stuff that wasn't meant to run on other carriers. Updated cm source. |

How's the 4.3 's battery life?
I think I might flash to 4.3 FROM ARHD's older 4.1.2 versions. Solely for the sake of battery life. This post has been edited by ((Xa))0102: Dec 6 2013, 01:50 AM |

QUOTE(Arvinaaaaa @ Dec 6 2013, 09:19 AM) from what i heard so far, i9300 has no device maintainer. codeworkx quit, and xplodewild left and started omniromfor the past 1 or 2 month, there was no device specific fix or improvement for our phone. all nightly were auto generated (only include very general fixes). new mali driver specificly important to our phone that were out in november was not implemented till now i9300 did not even get a RC version. cm just suddenly put a stable tag on a random lucky nightly only. take a look after the 'stable' version out, the following days got auto generated nightly also. |

QUOTE(Arvinaaaaa @ Dec 6 2013, 01:00 PM) ya..i noticed that too..most probably in going to flash temasek 4.4 with yank kernel tonight..how is the termasek 4.4 rom bro? compared to omnirom and slim 4.4? temasek i started with v12 (got camera low resolution bug, need flash a zip to fix), duno why temasek never make v13, straight skip v14. apparently he miss something in v14, and got alot bugs so next day straight got v15. i used v12 with the camera fix, then upgrade to v15. happy user so far. i never use yank kernel, just use default kernel that comes with it. so far so good. today seems to have v16, but dun plan to chase nightly. look at the changelog nothing relevent to me. omni is rom kosong. nothing. use xposed framework can get back mamy features, but dont have the nav bar feature that i use. and xposed is very frustrating, every setting change also need reboot. omni should have good potential in the future since the project leader is previous cm maintainer for i9300 but right now, its rom kosong. slim rom i never try before. but i'm busy lately, no time to explore rom. happy with temasek for now, so no point changing you try slim yourself and see good or not la. i think the should be quite similar to temasek for now. |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Dec 6 2013, 04:19 PM) What I mean is, if u use future cm, If you have problem that is device specific, such as camera, speaker, display or any bug that ONLY s3 is facing, it won't be fixed already. Because no device maintainer. U guys don't notice it, but 4.2 is actually more smooth than 4.3. 4.3 until end of life still got stutter in several places that don't exist in 4.2. Since official 4.3 release, got new sources, they were never added to cm. Temasek takes whatever left over from cm and add in the newer drivers to temasek 4.4. But since 4.3 already old, neither temasek nor yank willing to add them to 4.3 kernel. Current 4.4 is smooth with the new drivers. |
