ive been searching for ROM that can replace wanam..seems not yet found..
looking for Samy base rom with removal bloatware...but not heavily theme..prefer stock theme only...
*
isnt wanam exactly that? meets your requirement perfectly

or just install stock rom. use titanium backup to delete or freeze bloatware, then use xposed wanam framework to get any extra feature you want.

if not mistaken omega v51 and choose remova all bloatware during aroma installer
googy kernel is for dual booting
due to 4.3 has been temporary suspended icon_idea.gif
too bad only support 4.4 ROM as secondary ROM
how I wish can support 4.3 as well
*
why you wish for 4.3?
temasek 4.4 in its current state i feel its better than any 4.3 aosp rom previously.

past few months i try various 4.3 feel its not consistently smooth.
4.4 is great in the sense that its consistently smooth, and have lots of ram.

more apps are able to be kept in the ram, leading almost instantaneous launch.
you'll feel its more smooth and less loading time.

for me not much different between slimbean 4.3.1 and temasek 4.4  laugh.gif
*
rclxub.gif

last time you guys saying 4.3 better than 4.2 (in reality no noticeable difference for end user also)

now 4.4 do have quite a few noticeable difference than 4.3. and you say not much difference rclxub.gif

new things i notice in 4.4
~after screenshot, there is an extra 'trash' button for deleting it in notification. (touch wiz has this, but first time for aosp)
~no longer lag in aosp browser and camera, 4.4 camera has the slickest transition animation of all time
~photosphere rendering is much faster, finish stitching early by 20 seconds or more.
~much more apps are kept in ram, just go to settings>apps>running> in cache, have a long list, faster loading time
~nice transparency effect, slimbean has transparent status&nav bar, but it instantly blink to black, but in 4.4 it slowly fade to black when leave home screen
~kitkat white theme is quite refreshing. but of course you can install themes in 4.3 as well, but the theme is not complete in lockscreen
~temasek implement non intrusive in coming call screen, which is cool, not present in 4.3
~new dialer, i find it more user friendly than the old one.

ya the list is not long. but enough for me leave slimbean 4.2 -> 4.4

Bro...the known issues that listed as below in Temasek thread still valid from your observation?
- Lockscreen sound distorts music playing. Turn lockscreen sound as a workaround.
- Camera not fully stable
- Lockscreen shorcuts may cause FC to minority users.
*
i listen to music everyday using ttpod, never distort or anything when i lock/unlock

camera working fine. but it force close once a awhile. i only use the camera for photosphere.
for normal point and shoot i use camera HDR plus
i have 8 lockscreen shortcut and they never FC before on me.

in temasek thread, some people say cant send sms problem, and blank screen when incoming call.
i never encounter this even once. guess i'm lucky. maybe those bugs caused by custom kernel.
i just use the default kernel that comes with the rom.

Thanks for your prompt reply bro....I think its time for me to move from Temasek CM10.2 to CM11 already  brows.gif

do a cwm backup first. anything also can revert back.

flash banks gapps rather than pa gapps.
banks gapps included photosphere in the gallery. pa one dont have.

if you prefer to use supersu rather than the default super, flash the supersu zip from chainfire website.
if you download supersu from play store, strangely you will lose root.

so far cm 10.2 (4.3) stable damn smooth..no bugs so far..battery life oso good
*
from what i heard so far, i9300 has no device maintainer. codeworkx quit, and xplodewild left and started omnirom

for the past 1 or 2 month, there was no device specific fix or improvement for our phone.

all nightly were auto generated (only include very general fixes). new mali driver specificly important to our phone that were out in november was not implemented till now

i9300 did not even get a RC version. cm just suddenly put a stable tag on a random lucky nightly only.
take a look after the 'stable' version out, the following days got auto generated nightly also.

ya..i noticed that too..most probably in going to flash temasek 4.4 with yank kernel tonight..how is the termasek 4.4 rom bro? compared to omnirom and slim 4.4?
*
temasek i started with v12 (got camera low resolution bug, need flash a zip to fix),
duno why temasek never make v13, straight skip v14.
apparently he miss something in v14, and got alot bugs so next day straight got v15.

i used v12 with the camera fix, then upgrade to v15. happy user so far.
i never use yank kernel, just use default kernel that comes with it.
so far so good.

today seems to have v16, but dun plan to chase nightly.
look at the changelog nothing relevent to me.

omni is rom kosong. nothing. doh.gif emptiness. (the last nightly i tried is 1st dec)
use xposed framework can get back mamy features, but dont have the nav bar feature that i use.
and xposed is very frustrating, every setting change also need reboot.
omni should have good potential in the future since the project leader is previous cm maintainer for i9300
but right now, its rom kosong.

slim rom i never try before. but i'm busy lately, no time to explore rom.
happy with temasek for now, so no point changing

you try slim yourself and see good or not la.
i think the should be quite similar to temasek for now.

temasek also make his CM from CM 11 lol
*
What I mean is, if u use future cm,
If you have problem that is device specific, such as camera, speaker, display or any bug that ONLY s3 is facing, it won't be fixed already. Because no device maintainer.

U guys don't notice it, but 4.2 is actually more smooth than 4.3. 4.3 until end of life still got stutter in several places that don't exist in 4.2.

Since official 4.3 release, got new sources, they were never added to cm.

Temasek takes whatever left over from cm and add in the newer drivers to temasek 4.4. But since 4.3 already old, neither temasek nor yank willing to add them to 4.3 kernel.

Current 4.4 is smooth with the new drivers.

OK.
Gonna try temasek v16 today..I think the temasek ROM should be fine.. Malas to try onmirom and slimbean
edit: do i need to flash kernel? which one bro in this link http://temasek.hopto.org/?dir=Samsung%20Ga...%20i9300/CM11.0
*
i using v15.

the kernel is quite confusing actually. i also dun fully understand. here is what i guess based on past reading in temasek thread

SElinux is some kind of security, if you duwan it flash the noSElinus kernel
r3p2 mali are the new mali driver for s3. inside got 2 more kernel wolfom and beoflla something. those are sound engine.

the kernel that comes with the rom is the stock cm kernel, but added new mali driver by temasek, other than that is stock cm without mods.

since i dont really like to use custom kernel, i just use the default one.

cm11 is on CM website to download
who dare to try it ??

http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=i9300

i flash d.

wow, very smooth! very light and debloated

omni latest nightly 8th december one still considered rom kosong to me. too empty and even with help of xposed framework, not my cup of tea.

temasek one kindda bloated for me. but it has been my daily driver for about a week now.
one small issue i always encounter is sometimes status bar dont become transparent (known 4.4 bug even on nexus stock rom), and another more serious one is the recent app button sometimes bring up an empty list. very weird.

cm 11 nightly is already 4.4.1 (omni also 4.4.1, temasek still 4.4)
so the status bar transparency solved (one of 4.4.1 changelog).

i hit the recent app button many times already on cm, so far no empty list appear.
cm new boot animation is very epic, minimalistic yet very cool.

guess it's time for me to leave temasek one and use cm.
surprisingly cm still got hope. not bad

buy new fake back cover
I thought no more CM maintainer ??
btw temasek got more features
omni totally just like what you said, rom kosong
*
not sure why the rom so smooth. when trying omni i notice it is also smoother than temasek.
(animation when switching app, opening app from notification tray etc, animation very smooth)
i'm pretty sure it's not placebo. maybe 4.4.1 got some polish inside.

i dont use many of temasek feature.
my ideal rom requirement very low,
~nav bar + customizable nav ring shortcuts
~off hardware keys light
~lockscreen shortcut (8 is best, 5 is acceptable)
~customizable quick settings
~volume skip track

What is the best video player app and image viewer app for Samsung S3?

Original S3 video player cannot play RMBV file, and the image pages seems disorder, especially when I have a folder of a comic.
*
image viewer use aosp gallery. fastest and smoothest.
if you are on touch wiz rom, google for android 4.3 camera.
just install like normal apk

video of cos use mx player la. best of the best

downloading cm11 now..temasek 4.4 got some problem with the video camera, it is not properly 'aligned' to the screen. also, the camera and media app stops unexpectedly..will flash cm11 today and see how it goes

edit: installed cm11 4.4.1..so far so good..although still got the videp camera problem..the video camera is not exactly in shape..all appears squarish..besides that i have to install my apps again every single time i install a new rom, any easier way to update to new nightlies without installing apps every single time?
*
Use titanium back up to restore la, why need to install one by one?

I use the Stock cam for photosphere only.
Camera hdr+ is my go to camera. It is one super awesome camera. I wrote a short review about it in this thread.
